Great place to stay! Super friendly staff! We went for a wedding and all the rooms were easy to book and in a great location. Most rooms were ready for check in well before check in time and everything was great! They gave us ( the newly weds) a complimentary suite which had champagne and choc. covered strawberries waiting for... more

I was at the SSHR for a conference. Here are the cons first: We had to pay $12 for the shuttle to take us from the Airport to the Hotel & $12 again for it to take us from the Hotel to the Airport. The breakfast buffet eggs were disgusting - I don't think they were even real eggs. All... more

This hotel was selected for my high school reunion, so I didn't have a choice in the matter. I was concerned about some of the reviews that I read on Tripadvisor before arriving. But after spending a weekend at this hotel, I honestly don't know what the compaints are about. The hotel was clean, attractive, and provided good service. Our... more

Our High School Class held a reunion here on Sept. 4 & 5, 2009. I was on the planning committee and dealt with the Sales and Catering Departments from the beginning, some months ahead of the event. The cooperation and attention that we recieved was outstanding. The event itself was cared for down to the last detail. I must mention... more

My family stayed on a weekend at the end of July. We got a great rate ($109 nt) since my son was playing in a baseball tournament nearby. We went to the pool which had a nice layout however there was a band playing that drew the Jimmy Buffett "Parrot Head" crowd. They were loud and pretty inebriated. Not that... more

Our family came from all over the US to attend a wedding. The staff went out of their way to attend to our needs. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was that they do nickle and dime with the per diem rates for the internet and refrigerators and they could use some additional... more

Save your money and stay in a Motel 6 or Super 8. Or, spend your money at the Hilton. This so-called "resort" is far from a resort. We asked for a refrigerator in our room when making reservations. When we arrived, there was no refrigerator (or any basic items like a microwave or enough lighting in the room to be... more

When arriving to the hotel, the front desk was very un professional, we had 2 rooms in which were supposed to be prepaid when they only had one, good thing i brought my confirmation because they couldn't find any of the paper work. Later did we find out we had our breakfast prepaid and they didn't tell us. I didn't... more

Most of the reviews are accurate about this place. It's not very nice and the rooms are poor. The A/C was not working when we checked in. They got it fixed. Then we froze the rest of the night. The bed was terrible. For some reason the mattress was covered in plastic. We had a group and others had the... more

I recently returned from a two-night stay at South Shore Harbor Resort in League City, Texas. The rooms were large and the pool was large and nicely landscaped. The property is located on a bay which was nice. However, the elevator at the end of the wing where all of the guest rooms were located did not work. It was... more
