Other reviews have indicated this property is not close to attractions or towns. While this is true, the remoteness is one reason to like the property as a place to explore the Texas Hill Country. Austin is not far, and Marble Falls is about an hour away. Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is near Lago Vista, but because of the... More

When we walked to door it was covered with spiders and cobwebs-that was a very poor beginning! As we walked in there was a hole in wall behind door and it went downhill after that. The back patio was the same way-no maintenance and full of cobwebs. The lamp shades were same. The walls were covered in mirrors from the... More

This was a quiet relaxing place for a family vacation. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the staff was outstanding. The facility wasnt on par with RCI standards but were very nice for being almost 35 years old. The furniture and decor were very solid and texas themed. The kids had a blast feeding... More

We stayed a week to enjoy the Texas Hill country and enjoyed it very much. The staff was most helpful. Although we did not participate in the deer feeding until the last two days, we enjoyed it very much. The deer come right up to your patio and will eat out of your hand. The staff have corn for you... More

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at The Shores at Lake Travis, but there is room for improvement. The service of the staff was good. They were quick to answer any question we had and were quite helpful throughout our week-long stay. Our kids enjoyed our time in the pool. We also enjoyed the upgraded master bathroom. Beyond those items, it... More

Stayed in a unit that needs updating, Especially the bathrooms, but overall, it was fine for us. It was an easy drive to Austin to see the sights, etc. the staff were very friendly and willing to answer all questions and help. The fitness center up the hill had plenty of variety for those who do strength and aerobic exercise.... More

First impressions can be important, and in all honesty, normally they are correct. However occasionally you have to adjust. This is one of those times. Lets start from the beginning. If you've never been in this area before, just to be honest, its not close to hardly anything. Everything you do will incur a drive of some substance. When you... More

Beautiful setting with 1970's amenities. In other words -- run down. Sorry 2 b negative but very soiled carpet, formica counters, and 40-year-old appliances unappealing. On other hand beautiful area with deer roaming right up to your door. Very clean. Spacious rooms, but tiny kitchen.

Unit was spacious and sparkling clean. Master bathroom was a dream, huge walk in shower, updated vanity and toilet. Deer roamed the property making a very peaceful setting. Manager was interested in what you were planning to do and Hugo was always pleasant and ready to resolve any issues you may have. This was our second visit and there will... More

The Shores at Lake Travis is about half and hour outside of Austin, Texas, in the Hill Country. We had a two-bedroom/two bath timeshare unit which we found to be quite large and comfortable. All units are one-level ground-level units with parking for two cars in front of each unit. This is very convenient and easy for anyone with mobility... More
