My wife and I stopped on our way back to Houston and found the staff friendly and efficient. The large room was clean, comfortable and with all the expected amenities. The price of the room includes an excellent breakfast buffet. more

We stayed at the YO about 20 years ago. We have a 15 year old now and we wanted him to see where we had stayed. Yes the place is showing its age but aren't we all. It is still a great place to stay. The staff was wonderful-our room was clean and the food was great. I will go... more

The facility is an older hotel. Rooms are spread out in separate buildings from the front desk and restaurants. Main problem occurred in the bathroom. Woke up to water "bubbling" in the toilet. After a trial flush and following flooding of bathroom floor and hall, a call to the desk got no results, only a promise of "will see to... more

Recently stayed at the Y.O. Ate in the restaurant and service was very good and so was the food. Everyone in the hotel was friendly, attentive and helpful. Had one of the Suites and it was nice though not upscale just comfortable. Thanks for the great service! more

We recently attended a meeting at this property. Before talking about how disappointing the property was, I will say it had one of the most helpful and friendliest staffs I have encountered. Everyone we talked to was extremely nice. However, they could not overcome the problems. Based on the name, I expected a real hill country experience. When I was... more

The room smelled of mold masked by cleaning products. There was mold under the sinks and the toilet would not flush properly. The wallpaper was beginning to peel from the walls. Was surprised at how rundown and unkempt the hotel as a whole was. Don't even bother eating in the restaurant. The 24.00 rib eye was about the size of... more

Last year I wrote that we had found a home in Kerrville. Since then I'm not sure. We stayed there this past weekend and I was surprised at how dingy it was. The toilet ran all night, by the time we realized that's what it was we didn't want to deal with it and closed the door. The toilet seat... more

We too were fooled by the title of "Resort"..which this place is not. The odor is aweful. The swimup bar was barely ever open. The rooms were OK in size but were horribly outdated. Our remote control for the TV didn't work so I took it to the front desk to see if the battery was dead. She called a... more

I was looking forward to a "resort" style hotel stay. What I wound up with was far from this. We had to request to be moved from our original room due to an incredible stench in the room. The new room, though better, still had a strange odor. I suspect the age of the hotel is catching up. This hotel... more
