I stayed in a $750 suite on the club level. The room was beautiful and well appointed but a bit small. Service was mediocre at best. I requested a 4:10 am wake up call, which I never received. Had to physically go find the valet person because they did not answer the phone. I had almost $50 of mini bar... More

I stayed here for 4 nights as part of a corp. conference. The venue is perfect for the many conferences weddings and bar mitvas that go on there: nice facilities and great service. The hotel's common rooms have the feel of a gentlemen's club with stuffed animals mounted on the walls, but the rooms have neutral decor and most windows... More

One last short trip with our two children (plus our newborn). Our two night stay from start to finish was top notch! Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The crib arrived shortly after we arrived and included an assortment of complimentary bath goodies for our baby, Sara. Recommend staying on the consciere floor. They offer breakfast in the morning, snacks... More

Visited this incredible hotel, and grounds, for a conference in may 2007. Beautiful and spacious rooms with comfortable appointments. Was pleased with all aspects of my stay. If you are at all fitness oriented, take your workout gear with you. Great jogging trails, nice pools, good equipment facility. I would compare this hotel favorably with any Ritz. Good golf within... The Houstonian hotel is a great hotel to stay in Houston. It is near the Galleria, but away from the traffic and crazyness. If you like plants and foliage, then this is the place for you! The best part of the hotel is the customer service. The people there are sooo helpful and always willing to go above and beyond.... More

We went to Houston for a wedding held at the Houstonian and were extremely happy with all of the accomodations. The fitness center, pools, and spa made me feel like I was staying at a resort or on my honeymoon again. The spa was absolutely amazing and the massage was definitely worth the $100.00. I would definitely stay there again.... More

Stayed at the Houstonian for two nights on business this week nd I have to say that this property lacks any real personality. The check-in was not personable, the room was bland but nice quality, the restaurant for breakfast was in-diffrent. The hotel does seem to be a big spot for corporate meetings and it seems that meeting are the... More

Stayed here while on a business trip - pluses were great leafy location, minuses were badly lit, breakfast maitre d' certainly did not exude have any of that famous southern charm - he was a bit surly - rooms a bit smelly. NOt recommended - as another post has rightly stated - this hotel is living in its faded glory!

I stayed at the Houstonian this past weekend for a wedding. The property is beautiful and they have 3 awesome pools. My son loved the water slide. I loved the award winning gym! It was amazing! A few negatives: ATM machine in lobby was broken. First floor hallways smelled like musty old wet dogs! Housekeeping left old cups and plates... More

Stayed at The Houstonian with my husband who was there for business meetings. Service and food were wonderful. I did not have the opportunity to use the spa but the facilities were awesome. Big price tag, though-- definitely geared to business travelers.
