We were here over the past weekend for a wedding. Let's put the hotel aside for a second. The Houstonian Club (which you have access to as a guest) was AMAZING. Three levels and a lap pool. There were too many classes to choose from, cafe, free weights, every kind of machine even things you didn't know existed for cardio.... More

We loved the hotel and especially the pool facilities. The room and the beds were great. We ate at the restaurant by the pool, also very happy with that. Our kids (ages 5 and 7) also absolutely loved the hotel.

Our family just enjoyed another delightful stay at The Houstonian. We look past the Four Seasons and the St. Regis and stay here on trips to visit family in Houston. The grounds are always beautiful and lush, and the amenities cannot be topped. In particular, if travelling with children, the three heated pools are a major plus. Access to the... More

Stayed here a couple of times and really loved it. They room was very nice and the hotel had wonderful a trail for jogging. The valet even gave you towels and water as you came back in. We also had breakfast which was very good but not included in our room fee. They also offer a exceptional spa service at... More

Went for a staycation for July 4th weekend. It was fun! Very close to everything from shopping to restaurants. The room was clean but the bathroom was very tiny. My room was on the second floor and super noisy. We could hear a large group of people outside all night while I was trying to sleep. The amenities were great... More

We stayed at the Houstonian last week from July 29-August 2, 2015. Initially I was a bit hesitant about the hotel other reviews had indicated the hotel was lovely but a bit dated. On a previous trip to Houston, my husband and I stayed downtown-this time our 8 year old son was along with us so I wanted something more... More

My husband decided to treat myself and our son (1 1/2 years old) to a weekend in Houston. I am from Houston so I was very picky on our hotel location and I pretty much knew what to expect from each hotel. I had never stayed at The Houstonian, but I had heard that it was really nice. I could... More

Hi, We had a suite with an adjacent room for our children. We enjoyed a king size with en suite, a lounge and the children 2 Queen Size beds. Most importantly, the Houstonian Club is excellent. Lots of classes, kids club etc. The highlight for our 4 and 8 year old, was the outdoor family pool and slide. Great pool... More

Free limousine service within about 3 miles (unfortunately only until 6pm on Sundays). First day we were offered a cold bottle of water while waiting for the shuttle bus to the Galleria. Nice touch - also cold water for free by the pool. The outdoor pools are very nice. We arrived without our luggage, and very soon they arranged for... More

In town for an Astros game, I wanted to stay near family. I chose the Houstonian instead of staying downtown near the stadium. It was my first time on the property. The grounds are lush and the buildings seem to blend in with the surroundings. The public spaces have a very upscale, "Texas lodge" feel. All staff that I encountered... More
