5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Was in town for just one night and glad I stayed here. Great staff. The hotel is beautiful and the room had everything I needed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. I am very active and always take advantage of the hotels work out facility and I've never stayed in a hotel that had a better facility then this one.... More

The Houstonian was fantastic! It had plenty of charm and class in the lobby, and the halls and rooms were very quiet, even though we were on the second floor and there were multiple wedding receptions going on. The staff was very friendly and capable. The beds were extremely comfortable. And the view from our window was like looking out... More

We made the quick trip to Houston for Memorial Day weekend and chose The Houstonian for accommodations. As others have said, its an oasis, a retreat, a jewel in the middle of town. Not only is it a first class facility with wonderful amenities (pools, spa, superior fitness center) but the grounds are spectacular. The walking trail surrounding the hotel... More

What a wonderful hotel! The Houstonian has been completely renovated since we were last here, years ago, and it is truly special. We did not leave the property the entire weekend, but if we had wanted to, the Houstonian provides a free shuttle to the Galleria area. Our room was lovely, with a nice view of a wooded area-hard to... More

I have been visiting the Houstonian for 6 years since my company frequently uses their conference facilities for training and internal meetings. The hotel is very classy and has a great lobby with a hunting lodge feeling and large fireplace. The rooms have not been upgraded that I can remember since I have been coming here. The rooms are as... More

This is a non-chain hotel in a small green oasis in the city. My room was good sized, the bathroom was a little small, but the bed was very comfortable. The fitness center facility is huge and well equipped with trainers available to provide help or support. The outdoor track and pools were quite nice. I stayed at the hotel... More

WE stayed on the first level, corner room 139. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable, but we were unable to get hot water for our showers or out of the tap. This in itself made the entire stay horrible. We finally figured out that if you turn on the tap and the shower at the same time, you... More

This is our second time to stay at this resort. While we haven't yet explored all it has to offer, the best thing about this resort is the staff. They are courteous, helpful and not intrusive. We stay on the concierge level which is secure and provides additional amenities which are worth the additional cost. The resort is very large... More

This resort is absolutely what it is advertised. This is a lush, lavish property under the lines of the few remaining high-class resorts in this country. It brought back memories of places like "Nemacolin Woodlands" and "The Greenbriar". The service is impec-cable. From the valet, to the reception to the restaurant personnel, everybody remembered our names and addressed us in... More

Our family came to the Easter buffet for our second time. It is quite expensive, but OMG the food is so amazing! Gigantic selection of cold foods, many meats, side veggies and of course the desserts are to die for. This year was even better than last year. The scenery is awesome on the grounds too. The service was great... More
