My husband and I spent the weekend after Thanksgiving here. It was decorated beautifully. The staff was fantastic and the services, amenities excellent. We stayed on the concierge floor which is worth every penny. We will request a room closer to the elevators next time and there will be lots of next times!

Came in through the driveway and it was a pleasant site. It feels like winterland because they were hosting a snow party. So I saw snow hills and kids sliding down the hills on sleds. Checked-in the hotel and saw that there was a huge fire place. It was so classic. And there's a big train track running around the... More

We just checked in last night and had "party" noise in the hall until 1:30 and then the next door neighbors were at it at 7:00! This is an older hotel with connecting rooms and there is no insulation between the rooms. I imagine they attract a lot of wedding parties and people today have no consideration that they are... We stayed at the Houstonian with our family of 4 kids. Had a suite plus an adjoining room. Can't say enough about how enjoyable this place was. Such a treat to come back from a busy day of sightseeing and relax in the beautiful surroundings. Room was immaculate and comfortable, public spaces very elegant, service truly outstanding in every way.... More

If you are looking for a great place to stay and your goal in great sleep, good food and an excellent fitness facilty, The Houstonian is your place. If I can't stay at the St Regis or the JW Marriott, this is my favorite spot in Houston.

This is a great hotel. The location is central enough to get to everywhere easily, but is in a very tranquil setting. The rooms are well furnished and good linens, tv etc. Staff are very pleasant a helpful. Breakfasts are great with fast efficient service. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the very poor wifi! My husband... More

We stayed three nights at the Houstonian and it was so beautifully decorated. The grounds and lobby were covered in pumpkins which really set the fall festive mood! The bed was exceptionally comfortable and loved having the Kureg in the room. There are three pools but we didn't get a chance to explore due to rain. But, I'm sure we'll... More

The Houstonian is by far one of my favourite hotels of all time. The customer service is attentive and extremely respectful evidenced by the doorman meeting me at the front door with a bottle of water and towel after my run on their track that runs the perimeter of the property. The gym facility is high end and meets every... More

Nestled among lush vegetation and towering trees the Houstonian offers a truly relaxing experience while staying in Houston. The staff, seasonal decor in the reception area, the rooms and dining facility are all top notch. We continue to be impressed that the high standards set by the Houstonian are still in tact after visits over several years. A significant plus... More
