What a pleasure to fly from the cold of London and be at the poolside at the Doubletree in 88 degree sunshine by evening.! The hotel is very convenient to the airport, offers free parking, a free cookie on check in and free internet use in the business centre. The bedrooms are rather dated, especially the bathroom, but are clean,... more

We stayed at the Houston Doubletree Hotel IAH for one night between flying into Houston Intercontinental (George Bush) Airport and driving down to Galveston for a one-week Caribbean cruise. For a review of that cruise (Carnival Conquest), see my posting (using the same "T. Advisor King" screen name) for March, 2009 at http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=54377 We gathered our baggage from IAH and... more

This is an old hotel with a good location. They have done an OK job keeping it up but that is about it. You are paying for the location. The internet was very intermittent. The restaurant was shut down during dinner - with the only alternative being their very loud bar - I passed on it. Check out the alternatives... more

We were already staying in Downtown Houston for business at the Four Seasons. We moved to the Doubletree IAH in order to catch an early morning flight out of Bush Intercontinental on the Monday after our weekend. I searched extensively for Houston airport hotels with park/fly packages. I figured a Doubletree (i.e. upscale on the Hilton Hotel chain) would be... more

in town for a couple days and needed a hotel near the airport where i was doing business. Straight up, no frills kind of hotel and reasonably priced. Clean, tidy and unremarkable - I would stay again. Free high speed internet was a real bonus but the free coffee in the room was pretty unpalatable more

We stayed at this hotel for five nights for a convention. The room was very nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent and always well-stocked. Service in the restaurant and in general was very good. We didn't eat other meals in the hotel. We did have constant problems with our toilet throughout the stay. It never flushed well. We had maintenance... more

I stayed at the Doubletree Houston Intercontinental Airport for a class that I was taking for school. The hotel itself is of high caliber for an airport hotel. The facilities were very clean. My room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. There is not much in the area for dining unless you want to drive or take... more

The hotel worked very well as a base to rest after an incoming flight from London; prompt pick-up from the international terminal, and a friendly welcome at reception. A pretty standard, but comfortable and very clean room; good value overall. No restaurant open as it was Christmas Day, but the sports bar met our needs and gave a good introduction... more

Laid over here for 12 hours on the return portion of a business trip. The van to and from the airport runs every half hour and is efficient if a little crowded at the hours I used. The rooms are clean and very well furnished, if a bit dimly lit. Some aircraft noise is unavoidable in this location, but it... more

This hotel was extremely quiet. The bed was a bit soft for me but that's just a preference. Nice 42" or so LCD TV with lots of channels. Everything was very clean and I am picky. The desk was friendly as was all the staff. There was lots of parking which is free and a few fast food places touching... more
