This hotel was a wonderful place to stay while my mom had appointments at MD Anderson. They had rooms available, even though it was Rodeo time. We were given a friendly welcome, even though we arrived late (1am). The hotel rooms are fantastic - 2 room suites. The best part is there is a bathroom in both rooms, which was... More

Got a huge room for some reason, maybe my hosts upgraded me. Basically, a suite with two big rooms, one and a half bathrooms (and still another sink in the living room!). Everything was big, including the main bathroom. It was quiet, the most important thing for me. Also clean, and with all the standard hotel amenities, Bed a bit... More

I stayed at the Hilton because I had an appointment as a patient at the Texas Children's Medical Center. I traveled from Tampa to Houston to meet with a specialist who had a very full patient schedule, therefore, it was imperative that I arrive at my appointment on time. In addition, I had a very tight schedule for the day,... More

The Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center is located on a quiet side street just off the Fannin/Main corridor where the Texas Medical Center hospitals are arranged. It is an extremely good location for anyone having an appointment or any other business at any of these centers. The Hotel is located in a combined hotel/business/medical office building. The rather small lobby is... More

Contrary to a number of reviews, I found this to be a terrific hotel. My room was huge - separate living room area and bedroom. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Check in was quick and efficient. We were in the mood for barbecue, so the desk clerk offered the hotel's free shuttle to take us to dinner. Nice. The hotel is... More

I live in Houston, but my daughter lives an hour and a half away and had to check in for surgery in the very early morning. She, my son in law, and I stayed at the Hilton to eliminate the morning commute. Then he and I were able to take turns staying with her end resting at the hotel. The... More

I found this hotel to be dated. The rooms were huge, but since I was there for business, that served no purpose to me. There is a musty smell in the hotel, it is clearly old and the room needs updating. The location of the hotel isn't great, I would recommend the Marriott for location (There is a starbucks right... So disappointed on how outdated this hotel was. Do not mind paying premium price for Hilton, this however is not premium accommodations! Walking in the front door will be a bit of a challenge as the automatic door does not work. You must PUSH your way through. The entire main floor is furnished more in a Motel 6 level. Very... More

We stayed at the Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center for two days in a large suite. We paid over $600 for the stay there. We were in Houston for my wife to be evaluated at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. We tried to use the shuttle service for appointments on 3 occasions. The shuttle service from the hotel left on time... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights while being evaluated for a potentially life threatening illness at the Mischer Neurosciences Institute. Our stress level was markedly decreased by the friendly and helpful staff at this hotel. The room we had felt like home--quiet, extremely clean, comfortable bed, easy to use A/C controls. The hotel's restaurant was excellent. Highly recommend... More
