This hotel had everything you need. Close to many restaurants, shops, medical district and Rice. Rooms were a fine size but not overly generous. Restaurant within the hotel was good but service was sketchy. ATM, and option for valet. Rooms were quiet and overall very comfortable.

Stayed here for meetings at Texas Children's Hospital. Self parking was $11 a day with no re-entry or $25 for valet. The rooms were fairly small, the bathroom was especially small. There was a daily charge for internet in your room, but it was free in the lobby. Just seems like when you pay over $200 a night for a... More

Traveled here to visit relatives while husband was on a business trip. We are pretty much Marriott brand loyal so we have stayed in many properties over the years. This Marriott was a great place to stay for location, cleanliness, valet and dining. We had a problem where our room had not been serviced, we left at 10am and returned... More

Very convenient to the medical center and Rice University (walking distance). The rooms were slightly smaller than most of Texas. But they were clean and well laid out. The rooms are quiet; small but good showers; comfortable beds. Check in and check out were quick and efficient, helpful bus-boys are available as needed. Valet parking for $25. There is a... More

Check in staff very accommodating and courteous. Valet and shuttle staff beyond expectations. Shuttle drives were the best with suggestions for restaurants and things to do. The rail is right outside the front entrance which is very convenient. There are several places to eat in walking distance if you prefer not to eat at the hotel's restaurant. Service in the... More

Having stayed at numerous Marriott's over the years, I've come to know what to expect -- this why I still stay with this brand. This hotel had some issues. First, to my surprise when I woke up on the 11 th floor the elevator did not -- early morning workout included the stairs. Second, the room had a small leak... More

The staff at this hotel is really something. The desk agent was professional and helpful. The valets were professional and prompt in taking care of the car. Valet parking is quite pricey, plus they do expect a tip, so prepare for that. Or you can park your car yourself at a much lower cost. Our 12th floor room was away... More

Front desk staff and ground floor staff are extraordinarily helpful, welcoming and capable - the principal asset of this property. They should be commended, Very convenient to all the medical center locations... another plus, but they are not the only hotel in the area. Hotel decor and room furnishings are 'tired', but scheduled for a remodel / redecoration that is... More

Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is being renovated that has been going on for months. Concierge offering in the evening is sporadic. Goes from elaborate to sparce. Big changes in rates based on occupancy. Rates go from $130 to over $400 per night. Very convenient to hospitals.

I was on a one week work trip, I choose this Hotel to take a break, I was not disappointed. The Hotel is in superb condition, the staff at the Front Desk was exceptionally good. I asked for an early check-in at noon, the Director of Hotel Operations, Matt Marshall called me the day ahead to indicate that they could... More
