This was a disappointment, after a long trip through New Mexico and Texas where we stayed at plenty of hotels, from La Quinta to boutique B&Bs, which were wonderful. Everything and everybody was great. I came for the quilt festival. I had friends and family members with me. We had also brought my 2 year old granddaughter. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were comfortable with lots of room and very clean. I plan on staying next year if I can get a room before its all booked... more

This is a good business hotel, and is exceptional at getting the job done for business travelers. If you are on vacation, I might not recommend this hotel unless you are just looking for a one nighter in downtown. Almost every restaurant in downtown closes after 5 PM so you are left with very few dining choices in reasonable walking... more

I stayed at Doubletree Downtown Houston while attending a conference. The rooms were average as was the customer service. The breakfast buffet was not good for the price paid. There was no wireless internet in the room, only in the lobby area. The rooms were wired with ethernet cords only. There aren't many restaurants in the area and those nearby... more

I am a frequent business travel, and use the Hilton family of hotels almost every stay. This hotel was clean and comfortable. When I got in my room was ready and I was greeted with a warm chocolate chip cookie. Due to my level in the points program, I usually get an upgrade but instead was given free continental breakfast.... more
