I stayed at Doubletree Downtown Houston while attending a conference. The rooms were average as was the customer service. The breakfast buffet was not good for the price paid. I am a frequent business travel, and use the Hilton family of hotels almost every stay. This hotel was clean and comfortable. When I got in my room was ready and I was greeted with a warm chocolate chip cookie. Nice big room with a comfy king bed and a great view of Houston. Room service was great, airport shuttle too. The loud wedding was luckily 18 floors below. Not far from Montrose area. Overall a great value though downtown needs a bit more services/nightlife on the weekend. more

BE AWARE!!!! This hotel will hit you will fees for changing your reservation for any reason, charge you a fee for valet service if you check out early and try to charge you for services you did not even use. They will also jack up your hotel rate without telling you. Stay at the Lancaster instead. more
