We required a downstairs room which was very nice. Clean and nice décor. Lovely neighborhood and loved sitting on the front porch. Breakfast was plentiful and varied - the breads are home-made and are wonderful. Weekend breakfast had even more choices. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had to move upstairs when we need to extend our stay and... More

My husband and I spent a couple of nights in this B&B in occasion of Houston rodeo. Our room was nice and clean. Sunday's breakfast was great. Unfortunately Bob the innkeeper was very distant: he entered in the room where we were having our breakfast and when we said "good morning" he didn't reply... we had no talk for the... More

We want to thank you for choosing Sara's for your stay in Houston, and are happy you enjoyed your stay. We do want to say that Bob obviously didn't hear you say "good morning" or he would have replied. Usually it is Bob that says good morning first as soon as he walks in. Hopefully you can excuse him and... More

What a great place. I was looking for something in Houston that would be comfortable and not a chain hotel. Sara's provided this, along with a fantastic location. It's about 30 mins to the airport, and a short drive to Washington Avenue, Midtown, and not to mention all that the Heights has to offer. We stayed in the Forth Worth... More

We stayed in the Tyler Room, and what the website doesn't show you is the enchanting spiral staircase up to our own private rooftop terrace! Gorgeous views of the Downtown skyline, charming Houston Heights neighborhood, and lovely treetops. Best surprise ever! Also, the breakfast spread is quite impressive, and it's walking distance to many great restaurants. Wonderful stay :)

This is the fourth time we've stayed at Sara's Bed and Breakfast. The owners do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. The beds are comfortable and the entire house is very clean .It feels like you are staying with your nice relatives. The location is very convenient to downtown Houston. We stayed here 1 night after attending an event at a restaurant in the Heights. The place is charming, we stayed in the San Antonio room. The king sized bed was comfortable with tasteful decorating. Room was small but met our needs. We were not disturbed by noise from other guests. Breakfast was home made pastries, eggs, quiche along with... More

We stayed three nights at Sara's b and b. The location was very convenient to get downtown for the Wortham center and to get to the deMenil and Rothko Chapel. Connie and Bob were very helpful with directions and Miss Jeanie's home baked breakfast treats were delicious, especially the date nut bread.

My wife and I recently decided to explore Houston for the first time, and decided to stay at Sara's. We had the Austin suite for a couple of nights. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. That suite has a tall 4-post bed (with stairs), a sitting room with a loveseat, and a private bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower.... More

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in November 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is beautiful and in a great location. The B&B experience allows you to experience living in the local community rather than the, sometimes, impersonal style associated with hotels/motels. The welcome here is fantastic. We arrived late evening and the welcome note invites... More
