Stayed for 2 nights in Oct. The location of the inn is perfect. Very safe with loads of restaurants within walking distance. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms in the main building were very impressive. The downsides... we were in a room in an outbuilding and as soon as we opened the door we... more

My daughter and I recently stayed at the Lovett Inn while on a campus visit to Rice University. The inn is located in a great little neighborhood that's not only very walkable, but very close to great-looking restaurants (we ate at So Vino and really enjoyed it. It was a quick, one block walk from the inn.). The inn is... more

My husband and I planned this trip for a while because Cirque Du Soleil was at the Toyota Center for the weekend. We wanted some where inexpensive to stay since we would only be in the room to sleep. I came across the Lovett Inn and it looked wonderful on the website and for only $99( we were in room... more

The Lovett Inn in Houston was a perfect pace for a short city visit. The room was exceptionally comfortable with albeit a small but adequte bathroom. The staff at the inn could not have been more helpful. They went out of their way to track down details of places we wanted to vist. The Inn is cleverly equiped with all... more

We stayed at the Lovett Inn April 4-8, 2009. We only have good things to say. The Inn itself is gorgeous, impecably clean and in a safe and clean location in Houston. You can walk to wonderful restaurants and you are one block from a bus stop so you can manuver downtown without a car if you choose. Tons of... more

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Lovett Inn. The Inn consists of rooms in the main building, which is a historic house, plus rooms in the carriage house and adjacent townhouses. We stayed in one of the townhouse suites and it was almost like coming home to our own apartment. The decor style was modern and quite pleasant.... more

I had to go to Houston to apply for a visa at the Italian Consulate and my boyfriend and I wanted to stay somewhere affordable, near the consulate, and clean. I generally opt to stay at places outside of the normal chains and was lucky to find something beyond what I expected especailly regarding the price and quality. The Lovett... more

My husband and I went to Houston two weeks ago for the Microsoft Partners Convention. All the others hotels were already full, so we took our chances in the Lovett Inn and it was a very nice surprise. It´s in a very calm street and the owners are very friendly and helpfull. Clean and confortable. more

I'm always a bit leery of booking B&B rooms online because you never know what you are stepping into however I was more than pleasantly surprised when I walked through the front door of this charming old mansion. Everything was clean, very well maintained and so QUITE! Even though I arrived after hours Dan, one of the owners, was right... more

The Lovett Inn in Houston is NOT your typical bed and Breakfast... if you want frills and lace.. this is NOT the place for you. If however, you'd like a clean, quiet home in which to stay where you will be enjoy a beautiful neighborhood, friendly, helpful innkeepers and restful surroundings... this might be just the place... it was for... more
