Good location, friendly staff, lovely old building. I would have rated this one higher, except the 3-4 bathrooms/showers I used were not very clean. Everything else seemed tidy, though.

This hostel is in a fine old house between the Museum District and downtown Houston. We enjoyed a private room in the old carriage house, and breakfast with a variety of world travelers. A beautiful place with an outdoor swimming pool, hammock, biscuits, nutella, peanut butter and jelly. Everything is clean and comfortable, locked rooms, private or shared. I stayed here for a business trip. I love the company a hostel has to offer, since I travel alone. The staff is extremely firendly. Houston hotel taxes are extremely high at around 17%

Stay here twice this year. Beautifully appointed rooms. Stayed in room 1 and 2. Staff is very accomodating. Great location.
