The Hilton Americas Houston is a high end hotel in the downtown part of Houston attached to the George Brown Convention Center. It is also located next to the Toyota Center and is about 5 blocks away from Minute Maid Park. The hotel amenities are nice, there is a good lap pool with whirlpool and there are separate men's and... more

I stayed at the Hilton-Americas Houston for a conference. The hotel is very elegant and is connected to the convention center via a skyway. I had no issues checking-in, and the room itself was spacious. I ate dinner in the Cafe two of the nights and thought the food prices were decent for a hotel. I also thought the breakfast... more

An excellent choice not only for business travellers but for a weekend stay to catch up with an old friend! Stayed on the 19th floor with a marvelous view over the Houston area. The executive lounge served good snacks and had a good selection of drinks. Coffee and cookies were always available. The beds where so comfortable that I can... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton for the quilt show (yes, I was one of those “old ladies swapping quilting tips” that were referred to by a previous reviewer). The quilt show puts a lot of pressure on the hotel because they are linked by walkways so the hotel is a popular choice both to stay at and... more

I stayed one night at this hotel in October 2008. One of the nicer Hiltons at which I have stayed, although it is huge - my room number was like a zip code - 17067. I arrived at 9:30 am and was surprised to find that my room was ready even though there was a big convention going on next... more

Over the past 5-10 years, Hilton has been aggressive in building new, upscale hotel properties on urban frontiers. See the Hilton connected to an event center in Omaha, or the new one near the museum in Denver, for instance. These hotels are ambitious, flashy, weirdly oversized for their locations, and a bit incongruous, perhaps overcompensating for their humble surroundings by... more

It's decent in terms of cleanliness and ambience. A good location for conventions across the street. There is nothing within reasonable walking distance in terms of groceries- so expect to drive. Negatives- the lobby is freezing!! Also, the service staff is lazy, unfriendly, and will lie to you. When I picked up a package from the valet, there wasn't even... more

If you need to stay in downtown Houston, I highly recommend the Hilton Americas Houston. The rooms are extremely clean, updated, staff nice, beds very comfortable. I wish every business hotel were this good. If you are a swimmer, you just have to stay here. The pool is on the top floor, is long enough to lap swim in, and... more

I stayed here for 3 nights for business travel. The hotel was very clean, well appointed, and had comfortable rooms. The dining options were a bit limited, but there were several places to eat a close distance to the hotel. more

If you like real big hotels with lots of hustle and bustle, this could be your type of place... Stayed three nights here while attending a conference in the adjoining convention center. First thing I noticed was how BIG this place is. I almost got lost several times just trying to walk around to check out the pool, restaurant, access... more
