Great place to stay! Very quiet room that was comfortable and spacious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is beautiful and very unique, not like a chain hotel at all. It was an excellent stay for the same cost as other downtown Houston Hotels. Excellent breakfast buffet is included with the room. Has become my new favorite hotel in... More

Stayed at this hotel on 4/11 - hotel is beautiful. Checkin was very quick and we were able to checkin early with no issues. Front desk staff was very friendly. Room was very spacious, but I did have one turn off with the room. Didn't appear to be vacuumed very well. Sat down on bed looked around & by the... More

We've stayed at the Magnolia at least once a year for the past several years and the service and value remains consistently above average. This time we were in a room by the elevators and I feared that it would be noisy, but it was very quiet and comfortable.

This is our place to stay when we are staying in downtown Houston. We love the style of the hotel, it's location in downtown Houston, and the friendliness of the staff. It's usually easy to get a great rate and they have a complimentary happy hour every evening, and a complimentary breakfast buffett every morning. It the perfect place to... More

The good: The rooms are nice big and quiet. Our hotel tub was large and the views were amazing. The location is in a great spot for walking to spots in the area. The bad: The customer service at this hotel is a problem. \We were there for the wedding over the weekend and had several issues with staff. Out... More

I have stayed at the Magnolia in both Houston and Dallas before and both offer large rooms with upscale decor. Feel is that of a classy early 1900's hotel. The Magnolia in Houston is in a good location downtown and true to past visits, the room was large, but the hotel needs to pay more attention to its housekeeping. The... More

Knowing nothing about Houston (we were there for one night before leaving on a cruise) we followed the recommendation in travel guides from our local library, and stayed at the Magnolia. Great boutique hotel feel and location, with a couple of 'chain-style' bonuses like complementary breakfast. Other nice surprises - the cookies, free shuttle service to downtown locations, the evening... More

We stayed in the Magnolia Hotel overnight for a wedding-we live in Houston but did not want to drive home. We booked a suite on the executive floor. It was well priced but really did not live up to 5 star ratings. The front desk help was very cold on arrival--my room was not ready (we arrived at check in... More

We stayed at the Magnolia for a week in March in one if their junior suites. The hotel is well located in downtown Houston and the first thing I should really mention is that the staff were all very accommodating and pleasant. The room was ok although could certainly do with some modernising, the bathroom was quite small but adequate.... More
