I stayed at this hotel to be close to minute maid park for the beyonce & jay z concert . I found staff to be very unprofessional at the front desk, with an offensive overal odor in the lobby. Location was great and free shuttle was available. Beds were very worn and flimsy.

Our son's team chose this hotel to stay in for a tournament. It isn't really meant for children, although the boys are 17. It didn't matter to the staff. They were extremely helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations, to bringing plates, cups and napkins to our impromptu pizza party in the lobby. Having just taken away the flavored water in... More

What a relief to come into the cool dark sophisticated lobby of this hotel after a sweltering Houston afternoon. Room was modern, clean, and minimalist. Staff is nice and they have a courtesy van that will drop u off and pick u up from local destinations. Good location too. One caveat---dont pay for the $27/day parking. Instead get a $7/day... More

My wife and I wanted a hotel situated close to Minute Maid ball park.. The idea was to walk to the ball field but we took the courtesy van. The driver met us at the designated point when the game was over. The hotel was functional but smacked of being institutional in that amenities were limited. The staff was helpful... More

How can you possibly eat in a restaurant at a hotel that has such bad housekeeping policies? The glasses provided for drinking water smell like scummy cleaning towel. How can you expect your guest to get a good nights sleep with no shades on the windows? In spite of a pseudo face lift and groovy location, this has truly been... More

My husband and I stayed at the Sam Houston Saturday, May 31st and went to an Astros Game. From the time we were meant at the valet curb by Mamondou the valet supervisor to Olena the front desk agent we had excellent treatment. Even though they had two weddings taking place that day/night they treated us like we were the... More

My husband and I overnighted rather than driving back to the country from Houston. I choose this hotel as I know someone who had stayed at a corporate event earlier that year. The hotel looks great - the refurbishing of an old style hotel was done good - ie. its rather small spaces, nothing grand. Our room over looked a... More
