I totally enjoyed my stay at Robin's Nest. I thought Robin and staff were extremely friendly and unobtrusive. Teresita's breakfasts were fabulous!!!! I found the rooms quiet and the whole house charming. more

Spent 3 nites in the Big Nest - nicely appointed room and home; great location in the middle of the Montrose area and the Museum District. Hosts were friendly and informative. Breakfasts were wonderful. more

Before booking this b and b I had read the other reviews and concluded that the dissatisfied reviewer was a very fussy person. Well, I am not real fussy about where I stay; but I felt extremely uncomfortable at the Stables Apartment at Robins Nest Bed and Breakfast. The accommodation where we stayed should not even be rented out without... more

In response to our most resent guest in The Sables apartment it is necessary to say that she did make some good points and we always appreciate the good feedback. However , as unhappy as she sounds she did not show that here. We went through a lot of trouble trying to please her, after spending almost half an hour...

We stayed in the suites so we enjoyed the experience because it was a bit removed from the house. The furnishings were nice and comfortable for a house of this age and the bathroom was huge. We were not impressed with the actual house, but we enjoyed the breakfast tremendously. Jessica is extremely kind and helpful, and did everything to... more

Had been looking forward to a 6-night stay in this B&B, but left after one night. We were told our apartment would sleep 4. The beds were uncomfortable (the 4th bed was a rollaway, which we were not informed about, and was shaped for a contortionist), the furnishings were early-frat house (slipcovered sofa that looked like "front porch" decor) and... more

Human nature being what it is, admitting mistakes isn't easy on the ego, but it's what we do at Robin's Nest, ego be cursed! In this case, however, the mistake was made by the guest reserving the wrong apartment. The guest told us she was leaving because there was only one bathroom for four women and one man -- she...

This is a great B&B 2.5 miles from downtown Houston-center, easy to get to and from, and within 3-4 miles of some really great restaurants and the Rice University Rice Village of shops. I traveled to the Convention Center every day, sharing a $10 cab. Picture the kind of B&B where everyone is relaxed, you come and go when you... more

Honestly, that was the most uncomfortable and awkward stay at a bed a breakfast we've ever had. We got in at 9, and maybe that was late, but it was strange not having someone to greet us. We didn't know about the locked gate, and not knowing who or where else in the house other people were. Even in the... more

This a great place, not an anonymous hotel but a house with a soul. The decoration is fun and beautiful, the house and rooms are very clean. Yes the staff is not always there but it's even better for you just feel as if you were at home (and I wish this were home!!). There is only a short and... more

We spent a weekend here in August and loved this place. Don't get me wrong, if you are looking for a resort this is not your place. It more like taking a visit to your aunt's house. Yes, you may find your keys waiting for you in an enevelope, but what do you expect? This is not the sort of... more

Not up to the standard of the colourful web site. Rooms are rather tired and shabby. Certainly agree that there is no Texan welcome. Keys in envelope - front gate difficult to lock. No on site staff. Sometimes the staff turned up to serve breakfast but sometimes they did not arrive at all. Long wait to get served when staff... more
