I travel for my business. I stay in hotels about 4-6 days per month - not a road warrior, but enough to know when things are not as they should be. I am used to Days Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, etc. That's why I chose a national name when making my reservations. This hotel is located fairly close to downtown, as advertised, and is priced low because of the neighborhood. The one positive comment I have is that it was $43 / night - almost $100 / night less than the downtown hotels. That's where my compliments end, just so you know. The hotel's web page under www.texasdaysinn.com advertised an onsite restaurant featuring Chinese Buffet. Their write-up says "Everything has been completely renovated and remodeled inside and out." According to their Facts page, the Remodel date was 1998 - about 5 years ago. Amenities listed include AM/FM Clock Radio, Coffee Maker in Room, 24 Hour Front Desk, Express Checkout, Hairdryer in Room, Modem Lines in Room, Restaurant, Game Room... more
