Stayed this weekend at the St. Regis in Houston. Many nice features. Front desk staff, bellman and valets, and the bartender at Remington's were excellent. The housekeeping was ok. The pool service was poor. Had to call about towels two of three days. Great drink service one day--non-existent on the other two days. Toiletries were just ok. No free internet.... more

The staff was amazing. From the valet to the front desk & concierge. The hotel is definitely St. Regis caliber. We got a Platinum SPG upgrade to a suite. Very nice, spacious room. Our view was of the front of hotel overlooking random buildings and a parking structure. The rear view may be of downtown and pool. I don't believe... more

I booked directly with the hotel after seeing a package on their Web site. I had trouble getting the deal so I just called their front desk. The front desk mgr. patiently input the deal points and made my reservation for me. At arrival, they made every effort to get me into a room early to accomodate my mtg schedule... more

I had a short business trip to Houston and I did not want to leave the St. Regis. The room was gorgeous and the service was amazing. As soon as I pulled up in the cab the attendent knew my name and escorted me to the front desk. The room was quite large and had very elegant furnishings. I had... more

I stayed here about 6 months ago, while I was in Houston for a big family event. I wanted a convenient location with quiet rooms and comfortable beds. When I arrived there I was upgraded to a suite. I really wanted to feel pampered and I was. The room was very quiet (I know others had complained about the trains,... more

Our stay at this St Regis was very good in almost every way apart from the fact that both the hotel and the area its in are undeniably boring and dull. The rooms are comfortable, the public areas classy, the bar and restaurants are excellent. But it's just a typical St Regis with very little character. The area too has... more

We booked the St Regis through our travel agent, as they had limited choices for Houston. It was a little more than we were thinking of paying and after some of the reviews on here, we wondered if it was going to be worth it. But we had a fantastic time staying at St Regis and we were glad that... more

Stayed here last weekend (21/22Nov08), at a killer rate of $145/nt. Had only planned on staying 1 night, and the front desk mgr upsold me, persistently but graciously, and I stayed an extra evening. Was Plat upgraded to a deluxe suite, and man. Recent redecoration is finished, great hotel, wonderful bar, perfect service, and possibly the best hotel bed I've... more

At first, I was a bit uncomfortable having to stay at such a nice/expensive hotel for a conference -- after a day or so, I realized why this hotel was so wonderful. Perfect location, excellent appointments and details, and mostly great staff -- with lots of energy, who really care. . As I said when I checked in, using my... more
