I looked forward to the ld Roc House B&B for a few days of relaxation. It is a lovely old house filled with lots of antiques. But it needs a good dusting and has an old musty smell that no amount of febrezze would eliminate. There were flies in every room lots of cobwebs and a dead roach and live... More

We spent a night in the Old Rock House and enjoyed being there. Leda was warm in taking our reservation and having the house ready for us. We felt right at home. We chose to take the king bed and what a wise choice it was. We both had a great night's sleep. The bed was so comfortable. If you... More

Great property, both inside and out...Well stocked with essentials and necessities...Extremely comfortable and clean. Coming from the Washington D.C. area, we enjoyed the slow and comfortable pace. Started to miss the property as I was leaving....Will return!

Last week my fiancé Darla Atlas and I were on vacation and did a ton of day tripping through the hill/ wine country of Fredericksburg, TX and beyond. We had already made lodging arrangements for most of the week but left the last two days open for whatever we could find and whatever came our way. On the last Saturday... More

This is the kind of place that you want to keep coming back to again and again. It's a restored old west house that makes you feel like your back in the late 1800's. (It's actually from 1870's!) It's an original hewn out of rock house on wooded 6 acres, nestled minutes from town. The roomy house has one to... More

Wanted to get away for the day and The Old Rock House was the perfect choice. We like old things and this place is full of antiques. Set on the edge of town but close to the Billy the Kid museum, shops and restaurants. Nice big yard with plenty of shade for our little dog. A good nights sleep and... More

I selected this B & B based upon Trip Advisor & web reviews. Although we've been to/through Hico many times, we'd never noticed this place. The owner was very responsive in answering all our questions and booking the place for us for the weekend we wanted (she's not onsite, but manages it excellently from the Dallas area). We liked that... More

This B&B is perfect in so many ways! It has the flexibility of accommodating a large family and as a getaway for a couple. My son and I went to play golf in Stephenville and visit Dinosaur Valley State Park and the location was ideal. The Koffee Kup restaurant is a great option for breakfast (included in price of B&B)... A beautiful stone house in a quiet, peaceful setting at the end of the road. Property surrounded by trees, very private. Fireflies came out in the evening! Ample room for meal prep and "spreading out' in the open kitchen. We were preparing dishes for a family reunion so we brought all the pans, bowls, etc. we thought we would need... More

I was there with my two daughters, son in law and two of my grandchildren. What a quaint house with nostalgic memories. Beautifully decorated with antiques and memorabilia. The setting was beautiful and the trees were breathtaking. It was lovely waking up to coffee sitting the "grandma kitchen" watching the sunrise through the french doors leading out to the backyard.
