I loved the people and the staff but our cabin's water heater wasn't working and the water was absolutely freezing!!!!!! It's definitely more of a simple place. It was fun having the putt-putt golf but this place needs a little bit of updating. I guess just know before going that it's more like camping than a hotel.

Stay here often and not a super plush place but comfortable. Very rustic and secluded. Bad if nothing at all for cell reception and WiFi non existent. Deep in the woods and lots of deers and other critters. Close to Tyler, Longview and Gilmer. If you love Golf this is what they are noted for. Silverleaf has many great places... More

I always get the best service here during check in the customer service representatives are awesome. I get a nice room and it is close to the activity center. Love the hike through the trails. And the deer are not afraid of the guests.

I saw someone rate this low because they felt it should be a luxurious resort. This is a nice place to fish, swim, hike, and do outdoor activities without sleeping in a tent and going to the toilet behind a bush. The place is well kept and the staff is amazing and very friendly. Yes it is out in the... More

Had a nice stay here for 3 days. As mentioned, there isn't alot close by which is nice if you want to relax or bad if you want something to fill the day. The rooms are ok. Clean, comfortable and very serviceable. It is pretty much what you would expect. There were 2 TVs in the room where we stayed.... More

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week and had an enjoyable time, but there are some things you need to be aware of if you are considering staying here. 1) This property is not located near any major cities or attractions. During the week we visited Dallas twice which is 2-hours away. Tyler, Texas is about an hour... More

Grab your favorite drinks and eats before getting to HLR because it will be a drive for liquor and food.Great 2 BR units with back decks. No lake views though. GOOD food at their grill for little $. Much nicer people(workers) and few crowds

If you live in the city, it's a great getaway. But when you live in the country or on a lake, just not what we expected. People were very gracious. Food of Saturday night at the Activity Center was good, priced okay, and the karaoke was good fun! Enjoyed the swimming pool area.

The resort is on the old side of things but pretty well kept. You are really out in the country so if you want a nice quite place this might work. Had one of the older cabins 2 bd 2 bath but only one shower as bigger bath only has jetted tub. Played golf twice and it's and very good... More
