Myself and several other people all made individual reservations. I paid on their website with my credit card and received a confirmation email complete with a confirmation number. Then one by one we all got phone calls that they did not have rooms available and our reservations would not be honored. First of all, I work in the hotel industry.... More

After thinking I booked the hotel, and canceling another location's reservation, I called to check on it. They claimed I had no reservation but instead a "reference" #. They would call me at some point to tell me I didn't have rooms! Thankfully, I could still get a room elsewhere.

The TV has some sort of lock on it where you can't turn it up to a decent level. The reason? The walls are so paper thin that when your neighbor decides to have a phone call... or snore. You hear every second of it! The furniture looks nice, but you can tell its cheaply manufactured. The bed is harder... More

My daughter, grandson and I went all over south Texas during the second week of March this year and stayed at several hotels/motels along the way. This was definitely the very best. We appreciated the personalized service (including a recommendation for one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever experienced - Los Cabos in Hallettsville), the security, lovely room... More

Stayed here for roping event and could not have been more impressed. Everything was great - impressive lobby, clean rooms and bathroom, comfortable beds - all around great experience and highly recommended. Will stay again when in this area.

Stayed for a week on business, and can't find much negative to say. Rooms are a bit pricey for a motel, but in line with older motel properties around the area, all in the low to mid 100's because of the oil boom. This place is fairly new, the hallway carpets are getting a little stained but there are mostly... More

The walls are so very thin you can hear the TV and people talking in the next room. Kept me awake most of the two nights I stayed there. Besides someone had put something in then dryer which was adjacent to my room which ran for two hours. Sounding like a belt buckle clanking. Front desk did nothing. Then when... More

In the middle of the night, water starting flowing from the ceiling. Management speculated that the people upstairs overflowed their jacuzzi, but did nothing to investigate the matter. The worse part is they did not seem to think it was a big problem. Not only did they do nothing that night, but refused to compensate us in any manner for... More

Attended this hotel over the weekend and it was so cute! It has a very charming Texas feel, decorated with cow skin rugs and other western decorations in the lobby. The "porch" had numerous cute porch swings and rockers. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with a lot of variety. It was a very nice stay!

Attended a wedding in Hallettsville, Texas; a very small rural town. I didn't know what to expect for hotels or motels in the area. What a lovely surprise it was to walk into the Hotel Texas. The lobby was exceptionally decorated (very Texas style) and homey feeling. The evening front desk clerk was pleasant and friendly. My room (which was... More
