its a big convention centre hotel - i guess you wouldnt really stay here unless (like me) you were at a convention. Its not perfect, but I like it - good facilities - lots of restaurants.... it really reminds of one of the Disney hotels - big covered atrium in the middle with lots of waterfalls and several large model... more

My room was lovely, good use of space and large bathroom. My room overlooked the interior courtyard. The courtyard was very bright and had lots of great but BIG decorations for Christmas. I was concered about the noise and light coming through. I was pleasantly surprised that my room was quiet and dark for sleeping. The food was very expensive... more

The Gaylord Texan Resort is truly a beautiful hotel. We are locals who stayed at this hotel for our wedding night on April 18th. We chose this hotel because we had previously visited the hotel for ICE! and the Christmas decorations and we thought it would be a nice, special place to stay before our honeymoon. We also liked the... more

This is a hotel that I had researched and because of so many negative comments, decided to by-pass. My family and I spent the first bad night of our Texas vacation in Arlington, TX, thinking we would be in the middle of everything- first mistake. Long to short: checked out of that hotel early, could not get away from the... more

We last stayed at the Gaylord Texan four years ago, and it was just okay. We were back again last week, and things have really changed for the better. There must be someone new in Human Resources because the service has gone from just adequate to truly outstanding. From the Concierges to the maids to the food servers to the... more

I stayed at the Gaylord Texan Easter weekend; subsequently every hotel stay forever will be measured by this standard of performance. We've stayed on many grand properties before, but none compare to the excellence of the Gaylord Texan. The grounds and streams were QUIET and TRANQUIL; it was like stepping onto your very own planet! The room was huge (small... more

The Gaylord Texan, like all Gaylord resorts, is all about what is inside the walls. The hotel is built around beautiful gardens which replicate the hill country of Texas. The gardens, and the entire hotel, are covered by a glass roof which keeps the interior a comfortable 72 degrees. While you can stay indoors the entire visit, you don't feel... more

We booked a spring break weekend trip with 2 beds and atrium view. We were a very late Friday night arrival and when we arrived we were told they were oversold and there was a king bed room no view and they could bring a roll-away in. We took this since it was already 11pm and that was the only... more

Our church has had a couple of conventions there. The hotel has a top of the line looby (specially during the holidays). Beautiful views, lights, music, ginger bread house, flowers, pets, you name it! But you will probably get a HEAD ache and your tummy will HURT because the food service is awful. The worse I have ever experienced)even when you... more
