Spent 3 nights at the ranch over spring break. The beauty of the location and quality of the resort exceeded our expectations! Cowboy experts, Clint and Jay, are perfect ambassadors for both the ranch and Texas. Service was a little slow at the restaurant as it was off season, but the food was wonderful when it arrived. They could use... More

I went to Wildcatter Ranch with my fiance in April, and we stayed for three nights. What a fabulous place! We stayed in a cabin room, which was huge, and had rocking chairs on the porch. Beautiful view into the wild from the window, and we really felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Every morning we went... More

The staff is so mismanaged. The policies change depending on who you speak to. Yes, the ranch is ascetically pleasing to some, it's certainly nothing that is life changing. I was so disappointed with my stay and I would highly recommend not wasting your money because the staff will ruin your trip.

Recently went to the Wildcatter for a business retreat. I stayed in one of the cabins and it was great. Loved the fireplace and rustic setting. Meeting space in the Great Hall was large and well appointed. Our group opted for a circle around the fireplace for a casual meeting setting. Worked well, but the chairs could have been more... More

This place is truly amazing. Accommodation is beautiful, so many activities to choose from and can never get bored. The restaurant is highly recommended and has amazing views of the vast landscape. Very remote in terms of location, however that was the best part of being there. People were extremely friendly and helpful. This is a must for the true... More

Myself and 3 friends recently stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. We booked the 'Its never too late to be a cowboy package' which included some activities and also money off the restaurant. The steak is the restaurant was fantastic. The accommodation itself was great, spacious rooms that were very clean. We took part in a lot of... More

This all started in my 17 year old daughter's head. We love western stories (i.e. Lonesome Dove), love history, enjoy country western music- so why not go on a getaway to Texas? Being from KY and never having been to Texas, we had no experience or foreknowledge of what to do or where to go. Using the internet (including Trip... More

Had a 2 night stay at wildcatter ranch and stayed in a cabin. The cabins are more than generous in size with a living flame fire ( very nice ) that adds the right amount of romance for a getaway for two. Wish we had booked for 4 night as it is such a beautiful place. having never sat on... More

My family and I will live in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex were looking for a nice place to get away for a family weekend. At the recommendation of a friend, I booked that we can do for while cattle ranch for all of us in one of the condo rooms, not in the hotel. The room was spacious enough for... More

Stayed for a business meeting for only 2 nights. Room was very clean and comfortable, I had no complaints with accommodations. View is gorgeous, lobby a great place to watch the game, staff very friendly and helpful. I think the only area of improvement would be the food. It was so so, and when I'm in Texas I have high...
