It was a disappointment from start to early finish. When we arrived to check in I learned that the private horse back lessons where all booked than learned that every other activity wasn't free. From the website your kinda led to believe that the activities are included. I was most surprised that a simple ride on a covered wagon pulled... More

This property is wonderful and we plan to make it one of our new weekend getaway spots. Check in was very easy and lasted just a minute. The cabin was so nice and clean... very luxurious for being at a ranch. The bedding was great and the bathroom amenities are top quality. The decor throughout the whole ranch is thought... More

Stayed in the Buffalo cabin for 3 nights with my my wife and two children (13&9) in early August 2014, being from the UK and having covered a fair bit of the US, we hadn't yet done Texas or a ranch! We done the horse back riding and the archery which were both great fun. Not being a rider I... More

Basically I can't fault the location and accommodation and the restaurant was a true highlight - delicious!!! Just a few points I would have liked some more activities and also it's misleading to name it a spa. I am an experienced rider and would love an hour and a half riding at anytime in the location, but in saying that... More

we stayed at Wildcatter for 3 nights as part of a Texas road trip with our friends. Each couple had a cabin and they were very authentic right down to the rocking chair on the porch. The cabins were fully equipped with everything you would find in a modern hotel room. My illusion of sitting in the rocking chair on... More

The biggest disappointment is that the steakhouse is "no longer affiliated with" the resort, which means that two of the three nights we stayed here, the only dining option was closed. We went into the town for dinner, which was ok, but not part of our expectations of a "resort getaway". We have stayed in the cabins before, and they... More

We spent 2 nights at Wildcatter with our 2 kids (1 & 4 years in age) in mid-May. It must have been off-season because there weren't many people there, and there weren't many waitstaff there. We were going to just relax and enjoy being outdoors, and it's good because the Ranch operated at a relaxed pace while we were there.... More

We visited this weekend, and it was excellently amazing!!! From the ambiance of the room to the breathtaking views throughout the ranch. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, but it was a surprise getaway for him. I navigated along the entire trip, without telling him the cities we would pass through or the final destination. From pulling in... More

I stayed at the Ranch for two days this April, it wasn't nearly long enough. I had booked a cabin which was overflowing with rustic charm. The whole setting was idyllic, especially with the dogs frolicking around. I would strongly recommend feeding the Longhorns if you visit. But mind Big Red, he's a bit of a character. We went skeet...
