I can't say enough great things about the property or staff. We had family and friends stay the weekend as well, and not one person had one negative thing to say. We are already planning a return trip to Country Woods Inn!

Charming historic farmstead that is a perfect base to explore Dinosaur Valley State Park and Fossil Rim Wildlife Park. We stayed two nights in the Railroad Car, which our 8 year old son thoroughly enjoyed! He did not want to leave this place. Kids have plenty of room to run around, get to pet the barn animals and just have... More

This was our second time to stay at the Country Woods Inn, the first was probably 7 years ago and they've done a lot to upgrade the property in that time. We first stayed in a traditional cabin and this time the Railroad Car and my 11 and 13 year olds loved it. Lots to do around the property, they... More

The corral that our horse, Tomcat, spends his weekends in is 100' x 50' with his shelter another 30' x 15' on the backside of the barn. Indeed, you stayed after the snow storm, then rain and it was very muddy...but he always had access to his dry shelter. He loves to greet the kids so he often waits by... More

I stayed in the caboose for three nights with my four children between the ages of three and ten. Our cabin was set into the woods and was very isolated. In the mornings we watched deer run by and fed the animals. In the evening we made a fire, cooked dinner & roasted s'mores. It was the most peaceful, heavenly... More

My husband, 18 month old and I stayed here for two nights as a quick get away and to take our daughter to Fossil Rim. The place is rustic, the property is nice and children are welcome. There are tire swings, balls, games in the cabins, as well as jars to catch fireflys. They provide wood for the firepits and... More

While it is not ur typical Inn, it is more of nice clean cabins in the woods with a nice touch of barn life around it. Each cabin has been decorated in a mesmerizing way, giving u a feel of the past today. While there is a bit of wifi, I wouldn't bet on it a lot. There is a... More

We had a family reunion here. Some of my cousins rented the main house and others some of the cottages. Most of our activities were in the large main house dining room and the even larger patio. This place could very well have been the rural home that we were accustomed to when we were young. I felt so at... More

We had a family reunion at Country Woods Inn- 50 people ranging from age 2 to 75. Every single person loved the place. The weather was nice and we spent most of the time on the patio near the animals, but when it got hot we were able to move inside the barn. The kids played with the animals and... More

Headed home from our stay at Country Woods and it was perfect. Our family of four stayed in the saddle house and absolutely loved our weekend! We hiked the trails, fed animals, fully enjoyed our campfire, and couldn't hardly get our son off the tree swings. It was truly life at a slower pace and it was perfect. Would love... More
