Each summer our local Georgetown Blacksmiths Book Club meets for lunch at the Harper-Chesser Historic Inn. In the parlor we sit and read favorite poems each has brought. The Harper-Chesser Inn in Georgetown, TX has suddenly become our home away from home as my husband and I travel from Amarillo to the southern tip of TX several times a year for both business and pleasure. We booked the entire inn for a Girls Weekend Getaway and had a great time. The owners worked with us prior to the weekend to ensure they were aware of our needs. Overview: This is a small bed and breakfast located two blocks from the college and downtown. It is handicap accessible, no pets allowed. The Good: Property is an older two-story house that has been remodeled. Very large grounds in a quiet neighborhood. Parking is adequate, off street and secure as is the property.
