We visited Georgetown for our 11th wedding anniversary, and chose San Gabriel house for its beautiful historical charm. This was our first bed and breakfast experience, and we would definitely repeat it! It is situated across from a beautiful historical church only blocks from the beautiful town square. The house itself is gorgeous, with tons of woodwork, period furniture, and... More

We have stayed in many B&Bs but this is one of our favorites. Neil and Dee see to every detail but do not hover, the house is elegant, beautiful and warm. The breakfast is outstanding! They cater to everyone's taste. My daughter is a vegetarian and we had a delicious meat free breakfast with homemade pear butter and mixed fruit... More

We stayed at the San Gabriel House B&B in Georgetown, TX in January 2014. We had booked the San Gabriel Wine Trail Tour and this was a perfect place to overnight while on the "trail." One can only do so many wineries in one day and enjoy them. We had the Bishop Rose Room which was large, airy and very... More

The furnishings and antiques were amazing to look at, room was so clean and comfortable. The view from the upstairs balcony was very picturesque, especially while sitting on the swing drinking my morning coffee. Dee's breakfast would give any 5 star restaurant a run for their money. The day we left Dee and Neil both took the time from their... More

Thank you, thank you Neil and Dee for your graciousness and calming presence to this terribly frazzled traveler. I arrived at the San Gabriel without luggage after a long day of traveling. Dee immediately found shampoo, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant so I wouldn't have to go searching for them late night in Georgetown. Neil said he would make sure... More

We have stayed three different times at the San Gabriel House. It is beautiful, quiet, and you have plenty of privacy. We have stayed in the Library Room and the Southwest Room. Both are great, but the Southwest Room is our favorite. It is quieter and larger. The breakfasts are great. The owners are very flexible and let you choose... More

Directly across the street from Southwestern University, this B&B is one of the best. A historic mansion, it is filled with lovely antiques, including a long dining room table where you are treated to a luscious breakfast. Homemade omlets, fantastic baked French toast, and scrambled eggs are among the possible offerings that always come with fresh fruit cups, juices, homemade... More

I have traveled the world and was delighted to find such upscale accommodations for such a reasonable price. Neil and Dee are classy pros who do their best despite having to deal with less than stellar guests. During our visit, there was a couple who couldn't understand why there was no television viewing in the bedrooms and treated Neil and... More

Came to the North Austin area for a family releated event. Decideded to combine it with a chance for some quiet downtime in Georgetown. Selected the San Gabriel as an alternative to the roadside hotels. Good choice. The Historic mansion is directly across the street from the Southwestern University Campus. Just several blocks from the Geogetown square. The room large,... More

This is an amazing historic mansion. Supposedly the biggest built in Georgetown. The breakfasts are great served on this giant antique dining table. I felt like Master Wayne and kept waiting for Alfred to tell me the Batmobile was fueled. Lol The owners were like friends from my first day there and are smart and interesting people. Why would you... More
