The hotel staff was very friendly. When we travel with our dog we usually stay at La Quinta as they are pet friendly. This was our first trip to Galveston and we didn't know what to expect 1 year post-Ike. The rooms at the La Quinta toward West Beach had great beds. However, the desk clerks could hardly speek English and they didn't know what they were doing.
