Sure, this is no 5 star hotel yet our room was clean even though it smelled musty as a lot of hotels do in high humidity locations. Would I stay here again? For the price, yes but I wouldn't look forward to it.

Bathroom not cleaned. ...found many baby cockroaches. Very ghetto area. Many people live here. Do not recommend!! Do not stay here. Loud and scary area. Price to high. Try anywhere else. Can't believe no other reviews mentioned all the roaches

Dear Guest; I apologize that you encounter a roach in one of our rooms. We use professional exterminators to combat critters, but as anyone on in the South knows, it is a battle to control them as the war goes on and on. Not having control over what guests bring into our rooms, means that sometimes these critters find a... More

I initially booked one night but our road trip was shortened so I called to extend but was put on hold for more than 10 minutes. I hung up & called again & this time said I wanted to extend my reservation to which the receptionist replied of course. I asked her why was I put on hold for so... More

This hotel had just been remodeled when we stayed here, and it was great. Over the course of our two week vacation, this was one of the cleanest, most up-to-date hotels we stayed in, and the price and location really made it the best one out of our whole trip. We decided to stay an extra night because it was... More

We chose this hotel based on reviews & price, and we weren't disappointed. The room was one of the nicely renovated ones with a comfortable bed & chair. Everything worked fine in the room, including the A/C, the TV & the fridge. (We didn't use the microwave or coffeemaker.) Being an older building, outside noise creeps in at night, but... More

This hotel was the cheapest I could find, since I only needed a bed before my cruise. It lived up to its cheapness. It smelled of mildew, maybe because it was so close to the gulf. Nothing special about it.

Conveniently located, since you need a car in Galveston anyway. Short walk to beach and some restaurants. Very well maintained and clean, basic hotel. Quite a few were using the pool. Laundry facilities available. Great rates during the week, but much higher on weekends.

Dear Guest; Thank you for your observations. I hope they will be helpful to others coming to Galveston. It is true that weekend rates escalate considerably here on the Island. We strive to be economical in light of this and always offer the best rate our location offers. With the expenses of travel and area attractions, this is the Beachcomber's... More

This hotel was excellent value. It was a great location. The rooms were very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable which is a big deal for me when I stay at a hotel. There is a waffle house right next door which is great to walk over for breakfast.

This is a cute comfy hotel. but be aware that they charge the first night of stay before you even check in, we were to check in april 9th through 11th, our first night was charged in the night audit of the 8th. ALSO I was in a handicap accessible room, the tub is really deep and no safety mat... More

Dear Customer; Thank you for your observations concerning your stay with us this April. It is true that we charge one night's room and tax on the day of your arrival as a guarantee of your reservation. This usually takes place in the early AM hours of your arrival date. Depending on how your reservation is made (on the internet... More

Cheap price... I have learned my lesson. Staying here the night before a cruise so tried to save money, don't make the same mistake. Took a very long time to check in... People were waiting out the door behind us. Beds are very small, found someone else's hair clips under the bed, toilet seat is lose, and the room smells.... More
