We chose this hotel based on reviews & price, and we weren't disappointed. The room was one of the nicely renovated ones with a comfortable bed & chair. Everything worked fine in the room, including the A/C, the TV & the fridge. (We didn't use the microwave or coffeemaker.) Being an older building, outside noise creeps in at night, but... More

This hotel was the cheapest I could find, since I only needed a bed before my cruise. It lived up to its cheapness. It smelled of mildew, maybe because it was so close to the gulf. Nothing special about it.

Conveniently located, since you need a car in Galveston anyway. Short walk to beach and some restaurants. Very well maintained and clean, basic hotel. Quite a few were using the pool. Laundry facilities available. Great rates during the week, but much higher on weekends.

Dear Guest; Thank you for your observations. I hope they will be helpful to others coming to Galveston. It is true that weekend rates escalate considerably here on the Island. We strive to be economical in light of this and always offer the best rate our location offers. With the expenses of travel and area attractions, this is the Beachcomber's... More

This hotel was excellent value. It was a great location. The rooms were very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable which is a big deal for me when I stay at a hotel. There is a waffle house right next door which is great to walk over for breakfast.

This is a cute comfy hotel. but be aware that they charge the first night of stay before you even check in, we were to check in april 9th through 11th, our first night was charged in the night audit of the 8th. ALSO I was in a handicap accessible room, the tub is really deep and no safety mat... More

Dear Customer; Thank you for your observations concerning your stay with us this April. It is true that we charge one night's room and tax on the day of your arrival as a guarantee of your reservation. This usually takes place in the early AM hours of your arrival date. Depending on how your reservation is made (on the internet... More

Cheap price... I have learned my lesson. Staying here the night before a cruise so tried to save money, don't make the same mistake. Took a very long time to check in... People were waiting out the door behind us. Beds are very small, found someone else's hair clips under the bed, toilet seat is lose, and the room smells.... More

Came into galveston late and this was the only reasonably priced hotel on a late Saturday night (actually Sunday morning because it was 1230 am). Although it wasn't a spectacular stay. It was dirty and and outdated

You get what you pay for. For the price and location, it is pretty good. This is my second stay here in the last year and this time seems to be worse. The room smelled funny but it worked out good for the price. Next time, my wife and I will pay for an upgrade at a different motel/hotel.

Stayed here the weekend of Spring Break with the kids. Outside of property was pretty shabby but room was clean. Clean sheets and pillow cases. DirectTv with a whole lot of channels. Walking distance to the seawall and adjacent to grocery stores etc. If you are just planning on sleeping here it suits us fine. Parking lot was well lit... More

Decided to stay here since our friends were staying here and it was for only one night. My family and I were getting ready for bed and I moved the pillows and notice a bug crawling. Turned all the lights on and pulled the sheets all the way down to find more bugs ALIVE!!! The same on the other bed.... More
