Rooms were dirty, damp, and poorly lit, Breakfast was a bad joke ! Coffee was luke warm only and no microwave to heat up in lobby. Worn furnaturel carpets and bathroom was a dissaster. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOG !

Over all it was an inexpensive place to sleep. We werent in our room for much else. Rooms are as would be expected at a days inn. It's pretty mainstream & the same in every city.

When we first entered, we found that our room had a musty odor. After leaving the door open for a few minutes, it was OK. Although the carpet looked as though it was vacuumed, it could use a shampoo. Room smelled wet. Toilet paper holder wouldn't stay in wall. Toilet overflowed. Old box style tv. Decor looks like it hasn't been updated since 1990. The continental bf ends at 9 am so don't think you are going to sleep in. The staff DID respond promptly to the overflowing toilet. We paid $154.00 for this room....definitely wouldn't do it again.

OK, no, it's not the top of the line hotel available on Galveston Island, but, hey, we were tired and just needed a place to crash after our friend's wedding.

After a very pleasant stay in a Days Inn less than a month ago (in Missouri), I was very disappointed with the service and accomodations in Galveston, Texas.
