This B&B is in a beautiful old house on a quit street in Galveston. We stayed in "Victoria's room" with a private balcony which was really nice. The owner, Ellen was a lovely lady who cooked a wonderful breakfast in the morning. There were complimentary wine, soft drinks and cookies.

We found our new home away from home in Galveston this weekend at Coppersmith Inn! What a wonderful bed and breakfast! Wonderful innkeepers Ellen & Blair, best breakfasts ever, great hospitality and two very special fur babies! Could not have been better! We will be back soon!

The owner is easy going and the atmosphere of this B&B is laid back. We made our reservations on the spur of the moment and the only room available was Clara's Cottage behind the house. If you enjoy B&Bs, the inside rooms are probably a better value, although we did enjoy our stay. The featherbed and high quality linens are... More

We were 4 couples spending the weekend at the Coppersmith Inn. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the beautiful B&B. Ellen made us feel right at home and help us with Restaurants and picked out a few good Antique Stores to go to. The breakfast was delicious and served on beautiful Christmas plates. We stayed in the Jasmine Garden... More

We had such a wonderful time when we were here for Dickens on the Strand in 2013. We were right at home in our Victorian apparel in this amazing house. It was built in 1858 and still has much of the original wood and wavy windows. all beautifully maintained by our gracious hosts, Ellen and Webb. They put on quite a... More

My wife and I booked the two main suites at the Coppersmith from Ms Whalley for the thanksgiving long weekend this month for both ourselves and our friends the bride and groom. We had the Carriage House over the back building. It was huge and lovely and just perfect with the corner jacuzzi and all amenities. We added the Clara's... More

We stayed two nights in the little house in the backyard. Wish we could have stayed longer. Ellen and her dogs were great hosts. Location is good as you can walk to the beach but also to the old part of the city. Definitively recommend. Must have more character than the big chains at the beach.

We just returned from our stay at Coppersmith and our first time at a B&B. It was our 15th anniversary celebration and my husband surprised me with this stay as I've always wanted to try a B&B. We stayed in one of the private cottages, Clara's, in the back of the house. The main house was beautiful and Ellen's makes... More

I stayed there August 2013 - the Victoria room in the main house. I have never stayed at a B&B that made me feel so special and appreciated. The room was beautiful, bed and linens were extremely comfortable. The home is centrally located to main attractions (and walkable). Neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The Innkeeper, Ellen knows pretty much everything... More

We visited in May 2013 and stayed in one of the private cottages (Clara's) out in the back garden (behind the main house). A moss covered path leads back to it and there is a small covered deck, replete with string lights that add a certain magical feel at night. This B&B is so charming and clean. I AM a... More
