5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We just returned from spending a few days in Galveston. We chose to stay at Moody Gardens for his location and we feel very secure staying there. Our room was beautiful, the staff was friendly, rooms were cleaned quickly. They will be opening new attractions soon for the summer. It is the only place we will stay when visiting Galveston.

Evening : Watching the playoffs in the lobby bar, ask for a proper menu. No such luck, even if the restaurant is just across the lobby. Morning: ask for tow poached eggs, tomatoes and toast. Got two poached eggs, two slices of toast and one slice of tomatoes, really? Thought the USA was the land of adaptability. Sorry guys, nice... More

We loved the 3 pyramids nearby, they provided wonderful day "field trips" for the family. The food the restaurant was wonderful, the kids activities were great too! my two year old had a wonderful time. We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every minute of it until we headed for our Caribbean Cruise.

Stayed there two night, just get away time. The hotel was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff very nice and helpful. The pool was not heated as they told us it was. I would suggest others to try it.

My spouse and me stayed here recently for a 4 day Jazz Festival at Galveston Island. this hotel was much like a resort vacation hotel. The staff was great - almost invisible, but there when you needed them. The rooms were spacious and clean. Housekeeping came by at least twice a day; food was great at the hotel. I would... More

The renovation is excellently done! We loved the decor and the rooms are spacious and the beds extremely comfortable! The restaurants and pool areas are very good. There were a couple of conventions at the hotel and therefore the elevators were crowded. We will certainly stay here again if we are in the area.

We decided to do a spur of the moment trip to Moody Gardens. I had never gone before except the Festival of Lights. We stayed in the hotel, Room 656. The paint was falling off the ceiling over the bathtub. The "view of the bay" was more of a view of the roof of the buildings next store. The lobby... More

Check in was easy, I live they have Starbucks products in their local coffee shop, Libby was remodeled and it looks great! Room was clean and at a nice temperature when we checked in. The restroom was clean but I saw one or two hairs on the floor and I thought it was gross but I did not make a... More

Dear Monica E, Thank you for all of the nice feedback. It is delightful to read that you enjoyed your room and were able to spend time at the pool. Stayed here last night and was very impressed. The rooms are newly renovated, and look great now. The decor is impressive, but not over the top like some hotels. Comp parking is a huge asset, as is the comp and fast internet. Overall, a great stay, and we will be back.

Stayed here before a cruise. Excellent room, 5 stars. Food was slightly above typical hotel level but quite pricy as was valet parking bringing the experience down to 4 stars overall. Great access to the local attractions including walking distance to the Loan Star Flight Museum. I would stay here agin!
