Everything about this place suited us: Lupe's care, the flowers, the furnishings, the fire, the comfortable reading chairs, the goats & donkeys & cats, the preservation of historical buildings, but... For this amount of money, there really should be enough hot water to fill the jacuzzi. Instead, I had brought an electric tea kettle which I filled and heated to... More

Thank you so much for staying with us at Palo Alto Creek Farm and for taking time to write a review. We recently put in a new 60 gallon water heater which we were advised would be adequate for the tub if filled at the time of use. Perhaps we need to inquire more about one of the waterless heaters... Palo Alto Creek Farm is our favorite place to stay in the Hill Country. It is peaceful and quiet with beautiful views from the screened porch, great bike riding, and friendly owners. We plan to return again and again.

We were coming for an anniversary weekend without the kids an looking to relax. That is what we found. I think quiet is the best word to describe the place. The wrap around screened porch was a perfect place for coffee to start the day. The bed was very comfortable. (Though it is also very high so be careful not... More

If you are seeking peaceful, romantic, serene surroundings a short distance from Fredricksburg, this quaint Log Cabin is the place for you! It was for us. You pick up the keys in town at the main office, and return them there as well. Perfect, so no interruptions at the cabin. Such a cute little romantic cabin. They think of everything.... More

WOW, Is all I heard from my wife. I took her on an out of town relaxing trip for her birthday in which she had no idea where we were going untill we got close to Fredricksburg. We stayed at the Barn and it surpassed both of our expectations. From the silence and solitude to the relaxing wildlife and the... More

My husband and I spent a weekend in the Hideaway, and really loved it. The decor is pretty typical for a nice Texas B&B, sort of 'country chic', however, there were a few things that made it great. The bed and quilt were very big and comfortable - no trading in comfort for looks. The bathroom was smallish, but the... More

My wife and I stayed in the barn at Palo Alto Creek Farm. The room was beautifully decorated. The bed may have been the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The jacuzzi was relaxing. The breakfast left for our two night stay was delicious. We enjoyed watching the deer, hummingbirds, and donkeys.

My husband and I stayed at the Palo Alto Creek Farm on March 25 and March 26, 2013, in the Log Cabin. It was a wonderful experience! We got the feel of 19th century log cabin living, but with 21st century comfort. Everything was perfect - the ambience, the breakfast food left in the refrigerator to be eaten at your... More

Amazing. Adorable. Accommodating. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here, staying in The Barn. Very secluded, serene, and simply welcoming. We loved the little gingerbread men upon arrival and all the food was perfect for our tastes. I love that you don't have to eat in a main house with strangers and can eat in your jammies. The porch was... More

My sister and I stayed in the Barn during a golf tournament at Boot Ranch. Wonderful place! Well appointed, the fireplace was great during the colder evening and morning. The bed was comfy, the food was good, and the robes came in handy. The tub with hand held shower was a little tricky to use, but worked fine. We will... More
