Hosts Sam and Becky Higgins will offer you a Texan-sized welcome at their unique inn just outside Fredericksburg. Our cabin, the Larry Bill's Chuckwagon, was very clean and neat at check-in, with a sitting room and kitchen (complete with the back half of a chuckwagon) on the main floor and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs. We loved the imagination that... More

We stayed three days here and we really enjoyed the hospitality here at the Chuckwagon Inn. Breakfast was delicious...oh the biscuits! The owners were willing to work with any special dietary needs which was nice. The place is a little refuge just a little bit outside of Fredericksburg, but we never had any issues parking around downtown so driving places... More

It's a bit out of town but that doesn't matter because what's important is the welcome you get and the quality of the accommodation. Too many people from the UK just visit the cities so don't experience the best of Texas. And, in the case of the Chuckwagon Inn, a breakfast including 'biscuits' and 'gravy'. Gravy is not brown and... More

We had a great time at Chuckwagon Inn! Sam and Becky are the kind of folks that make you feel like family. Breakfast each morning was the highlight of the trip. We made lifelong memories during our brief stay. I highly recommend this rustic little bed and breakfast in the Texas hill country. Tracey Justice, Southlake, TX

Stayed 2 days, property is in an industrial area and is near an local airport across the street. It's a short drive to Main St,golf course, local farms and restaurant.Had the attentively decorated pear cottage which is in the back of another front cottage. It's not oversized or really a value for the space.Nicely furnished microwave, dishes, Glasses, small refrigerator, oversized... More

Dear jjv3, Thank you for being our guests and for taking the time to write a review. Your wife and I visited on the porch after you checked in and she told me how beautiful the Pear Tree Cottage and the surrounding area was and she seemed very pleased so I was surprised with your rating of 3.5 out of... We loved our time in Miss Becky's Kitchen at the Chuckwagon Inn. We stayed four days and could have stayed longer. Sam and Miss Becky were wonderful and I almost teared up when it came time to leave. I can only echo all the glowing comments others have written. You can't go wrong by staying at this lovely inn. If... More

Peaceful and relaxing in the Bollinger cabin. Breakfast was simply delicious and not pretentious. Good conversations with owners and other guests and lots of good information for where to eat and what to see in our trip to Fredericksburg. Most importantly the web site describes the policies of the B&B accurately and what to expect with our stay. My favorites... More

Becky and Sam were extremely friendly and accommodating. They gave us great insight to some of the non-touristy places to go and a really good restaurant for dinner. The Pear Cottage was very clean and the king size bed was very comfortable. As we had an early flight they made us breakfast to go which was very nice of them... More

We stayed 4 wonderful nights at Sam and Becky's Chuckwagon Inn in the Pear Tree Cottage and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our hosts, Sam and Becky, went above and beyond by helping us with dining suggestions, choice drives for enjoying the wildflowers, and even assisting us in picking up and returning our rental bikes. This hospitality was in addition to providing charming B and B accommodations including a hearty and delicious breakfast with which to start our bike rides each morning.... More
