We stayed in the separate cottage (Thatcher) that had a king and a single. May have appealed to older lady shoppers visiting Fredericksburg. That may be their target clientele because breakfast was served to us and consisted of a small bowl of oatmeal with prunes/cherries?, some thick crusty toasted bread rounds without jam, and a very small amount of quality... more

My husband and I went with another couple on the June 19-21 weekend. We stayed at the Buckingham Cottage, which is just a stone's throw away from the main house. Everything was SO CLEAN! We stayed at this B&B with the previous ownwers and it was excellent. Because it was so good, we returned for 3 nights in Jan. This time we were very disappointed because apart from clean towels, the room was not serviced. The bed was not tidied, coffee cups not washed, bins not emptied and the room & bathroom not cleaned.... more

My husband and I spent 3 days at Runnymede in late August. Our cottage (Kew Garden) was exceptionally large, clean & beautifully decorated with king bed, whirlpool tub/shower, small kitchen with breakfast area, satellite TV/VCR and electric fireplace. It's located 3 miles south of town in a country location (complete with 12 cats and a small herd of goats nearby).... more

We had a wonderful night in the Buckingham Cottage. The cottage was new and very bright inside.The upstairs master was beautiful with a fireplace.It is a couple of miles from town but worth it. This was our second time to stay @ will be returning! more
