This is a lovely, small campground right on Lake Palestine. There are six RV sites and 6 rental units (trailers, basically). I stayed in the "Bermuda"; it seemed brand new! 400 square feet, full kitchen (stocked with pots and pans and plates and silverware), nice bathroom with shower. (Bathing towels provided, and even "old" towels for your dog!) It had a view of the lake from the sofa, as do most of the units, I think.
There is a dock on the lake for sitting or fishing, and a small roped-off area for swimming. The lakeside had plenty of tables and chairs, and even floats and inner tubes!
They are extremely dog friendly here! Not only do they not charge extra for them, they don't limit their size (mine's a 70-lb Labrador!) and my unit had a fenced in area out the back door.
The atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. It is very quiet, with really tall trees, lots of birds, a nice walk down to the lake. more
