My husband and I chose the Hattie May Inn for a romantic Valentine's Day overnight retreat. The Romance package offered (roses, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries) was reasonable priced, and a wonderful addition to our stay. We met Kim upon our arrival and after touring the home, unwound a bit in the Oriental Room, our home away from home for the night. We spent some time before dinner talking a bit with Kim about the history of the home and how the Hattie May Inn came to be. There is a picture book on the parlor table showing the progression of their journey. As we left, we met Linda, who was a very gracious hostess. The home is absolutely gorgeous and obviously loved by the Innkeepers. Breakfast was a wonderful fruit parfait, bacon, a green chile egg dish (the name unfortunately escapes me at the moment), and homemade biscuits, fresh coffee and orange juice. It was definitely an experience we'd love to repeat. more
