A great location to start a Texas holiday from - just 40 minutes from DFW airport. Have stayed at The Stockyards Hotel twice now and will return again. Pretty expensive by US standards, and the rooms are a little musty, but the staff are very polite and we will never forget the good times, and good food, we had in... more

We went for our Ann.thinking it would be fun to expierence a little of the old west. The location was great, close to everything. The rooms were not what I expected. The wine they had waiting on us was REALLY bad. Not as nice as portrayed!! NO room service. Stay away from the H3 Ranch next door. It was overcrowded,(have... more

This place was awesome! If you ever want to stay somewhere "where the west really began" this is the place to go. From their valets who cater to your every whim to the management who was there making sure our stay was top notch this place was the place to be. I enjoyed the "western" style room which overlooked the... more

My family and I stayed here 2 summers ago. We really enjoyed our stay. It was raining when we arrived so unloading was a problem. We enjoyed the fact that we could walk to Billy Bobs since we came to see a friend perform there. The stockyards is touisty, but we are tourists. The rooms are all different have different... more

I chose this hotel for the location and the romance of the Old West. What I got was a hotel in the middle of a tourist trap pedestrian street that allows smoking in all areas. We never even walked thru the Stockyards b/c it looked too cheesy and at night seemed quite dangerous, as another reviewer pointed out. The room... more

This place is a joke. On the outside, everything looks all pretty- with the western decor and the authentic atmosphere. However, the service was horrible, and the rooms were overpriced. Stay away from the H3 ranch restaurant attached to the hotel, unless you want to pay 30 bucks for a steak and then have it arrive cold. more

Great hotel, wonderful history, but the area seems to have been overtaken by youths cruising until 4 am, in loud cars, literally by the 1000's. We got caught in a traffic jam of scary cars and kids that look like they were off the set of "The Fast and the Furious". You could not walk the streets because of the... more

If you are looking for a great place to stay while visiting the Stockyards, this hotel is for you. You feel as if you have stepped into a different time. This hotel has a lot of history. It has been there since 1937. It has managed to keep all of the charm while being a nice place to stay for... more
