This made for a marvellously atmospheric change, from many of the slightly anonymous, if comfortable, hotel chains so prevalent in Texas. As the other reviewers have said, despite offering all the usual comfort and modern amenities the place is full of Western character, the staff are helpful, the bar is inviting and atmospheric (and as a bonus is no smoking... A lobby you could imagine Bonny & Clyde walking into. Rooms that are full of character with a lot of detail paid to the furnishings. The bar was very homely and full of local characters. The food was excellent. Location was central to exploring this little bit of Western history not far from downtown Fort Worth. A great place to... More

If you are wanting the full western experience of Ft. Worth, then the Stockyards Hotel won't disappoint. The suites are roomy, the beds are comfortable and the staff friendly! The location is perfect and their in-house H3 restaurant is excellent.

Our room was very nice, the bed was fantastic. I loved looking out the windows to the street but I also liked the wooden shutters to close the windows off. The location was perfect. We had a great stay. I wouldn't want to pay the full rate- it's expensive. I'm glad for discount programs.

My husband and I stayed here for one night the day after Christmas. Our room was spacious, clean, well decorated and cozy. The bed and bedding were super comfortable. The location is fantastic and allows easy walking access to any attraction in The Stockyards. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I don't think I'd stay anywhere else when I'm in... More

Stayed for one night in the fall. Can't get a better location. Quick walk to the stockyards, quirky little shops and some fun bars. I loved the room. It was older as some have stated, but that's the point, isn't it? I loved pulling the chain to flush the toilet. :) Valet was convenient, reception was kind. I would absolutely... More

This hotel is an excellent place to stay when you wnat to stay in the Stockyards. Located in a historic building, right in the heart of the Stockyards area, and very nicely decorated in a Western-cowboy theme. In addition there is a nice bar and restaurant downstairs. However, it is not inexpensive, so penny-pinching cowboys beware. One more thing, we... More

The hotel is really amazing with its saloon and far west design, cow heads, wooden shutters, rocking chair. The location is on main street of stockyards, but after 6 pm, you could only stay in your hotel, because all the shops are closed and the streets are deserted, excepted the famous billy bob honkey tonk. The room is correct, but... More

Large rooms but in need of refurb. We stayed in room 206 for 4 nights. Traffic noise on Fri and Mon morning was loud and constant from around 0630. It wasn't as bad at the weekend. The staff were friendly. Rooms are pricey for what you actually get but I guess that is dictated by the ideal location

There is no denying that this hotel is in a great location, has a lot of history behind it and retains great character. Having said that we did feel that the room furnishings and amenities could do with an upgrade to reflect the rates charged. We stayed two nights in the Bonnie & Clyde room, appropriately decorated complete with Bonnie's... More
