This place is my idea of great camping. It was a rustic cabin, clean and stocked for travelers, with decent beds and plenty of space. Everything we needed to be comfortable was there, including tons of fresh fluffy towels and ceiling fans! The grounds of the resort were well kept and the kids loved the nature trail, dock, playground, shuffleboard.... More

We enjoyed our stay at Lake of the Woods for the weekend. The resort was quiet and you really fell like you are immersered in the woods and in nature. The furniture and appliances are are a little outdated, but this was not a problem and actually contributed to the whole cabin the woods experience. Every cabin has it's own... More

My family of 4, spend a week on this resort, it was nice. the cabins were very comfy, clean and quiet enough to rest. You will find some outdated furniture, olds appliances, but all are accordingly with the natural scene.common area are safe and lighted properly. You can find groceries within 3 miles, a good Brookshire supermarket is near by.... More

If you want to get back to nature and enjpy a cute, rustic cabin within walking distance of Lake Palestine, this is for you. Each cabin is well equipped, very clean, and has its own picnic table and charcoal grill in front. You might want to bring a fan for the sleeping loft during the summer months, even though there is... The place is great for a quiet get away with the family. The cabin sits right off a beautiful lake and tall pines. The sister resort (The Villages) is very close and you will be allowed to use their pools and laundry facilities. The staff was nice and helpful. There is a grocery store very near with great deals(Brookshire). Plenty... More

The park is nice with a swimming pool, putt putt, snack bar, and game/movie rental. Also has a fishing pier and boat ramp. There is a playground for the kids.. I wasn't real impressed with the RV sites.. they weren't very clean as in trash on the the ground.. I think this place is only for Silverleaf owners. You have... More

I went to this resort for 3 days for a mini family vacation and I'm so glad I went. The 13-year-old and 16-year-old LOVED the indoor waterpark and pool areas. The indoor waterpark was a quick 5 miles away and we were able to secure a table easily each day. The Villages and Lake O' the Woods both provide a... More

As a long time owner in the Silverleaf family, we have visited most of the locations several times. We appreciate the upgrades to many of the units, but wonder if some of the changes are just eye candy. More consideration needs to be given to the mechanics of each unit - not just decor. The last unit I was in... More

Lake O' the Woods. It was like camping with out the tent. It is not as fancy as there other Silver Leaf resorts, but fine for camping w/ a/c and Cable TV. We were a family of 4 / 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. Sharing one bathroom was not fun, but the girls had the loft and loved having... More

We joined a couple from Washington for one night. They had booked a week in order to see Texas. Two days later, they had exhausted all but the Zoo, which is where we took them. This place is for families, but not for older couples wanting a place to base a tour. The steps to the loft were quite steep... More
