I was so shocked when I arrived at this inn. The reviews I read all said how awesome this place was, beautiful, with a fantastic breakfast and on and on. I arrived to a gravel drive way, dead grass, one large tree, flowers that were drooping, and yes it was August in Texas, but we do have water! The room... More

We arrived after dinner in Austin as the Golden Hour was upon us. We walked in to a curiously well kept home, walked through the dining room as the floors charmingly creaked beneath us and into our room. It was 1987 and I was in my grandmother's home. Her safe, warm, happy home. The TV mounted on the wall like... More

You will not stumble on this place accidentally, as it is in the country and the nearest towns are small, but thankfully the Internet makes finding this great place easy. We stayed two nights in the delightful Side Oats cottage, which was very clean and nicely done--pretty wood floors and ceiling, huge two person jetted tub, and its own porch.... More

If you've done the beaches, casinos, nightlife, and attractions, and are now ready to relax and recharge, this is the perfect oasis. Near to Austin and scenic Wimberley, the Mt Gainor Bed & Breakfast is just as peaceful as it could be. Deer and the occasional raccoon share the 40 acres of walking paths with countless songbirds and hummingbirds. Its... More

My wife and I had an extraordinary time staying here. A quiet, clean, and cozy room, delicious breakfast every morning, and a great location. Owners are sweet and very welcoming. We will definitely be returning to this location if we want another peaceful getaway.

My husband and I attended a wedding at Camp Lucy and want to make a getaway weekend of it. He chose Mt. Gainor and I couldn't have been happier. They were so wonderful. The rooms were clean, cozy and we the beds very comfortable. They also served the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B. Overall wonderful experience... More

Wife & I celebrated our May 20th 40th anniversary by escaping from work, rest of family, a grand-daughter (a wonderful 3 year old little lady!), & the hectic urbanism of Austin, TX. The Mt. Gainor Inn was a great "retreat" just 45min west of us & 15 minutes SW of Dripping Springs, in the scenic CenTex Hill Country. Cozy, comfortable... More

We originally chose this B&B because we were looking for something different than the usual hotel and wanted something near the middle of the Texas Hill country. It was the perfect location and beautifully done. Jerry and Laurie have done a wonderful job with this place, making guests feel at home. The breakfasts, cooked by Jerry, were terrific. We stayed... My fiancee and I chose this lovely inn as a weekend getaway to celebrate our engagement. We could not have been happier with our choice. From the first moment we walked in the door, we felt right at home, the inn is absolutely charming and Jerry and Laurie were amazing. We elected to have dinner at the inn for the... More
