The Inn is remarkable. It is so quiet the morning birds might wake you. Breakfast is a delight. The rooms are lovely without being fussy. (I would have loved to spend a morning with a book in one of the hammocks under the arbor and perhaps next time there will be time.) Directions to the inn that are included with... More

We've stayed five nights in September 2014 in Mt Gainor Inn and it was absolutely heaven! Jerry and Laurie are very friendly innkeepers, the cottage was perfect and comfortable and the location of the inn is just perfect to visit the Hill Country and Austin. Breakfast was abundant and tasty. We loved our stay!! Whenever we visit Texas again we... More

My husband, nephew and I stayed at this B & B last weekend. The experience was wonderful! My husband and I travel quite a bit and have stayed in a number of B & B's throughout the state. Mt. Gainor was, by far, the best B & B we've seen! Our room was extremely spacious and the electric fireplace (2... More

We celebrated our 4th anniversary @ the Mt. Gainor Inn & are very pleased with our stay. It was affordable, very comfortable, & relaxing. A little bit of a drive but worth it, we were able to drive into Austin for the day and return for a relaxing evening, breakfast was delicious and we even loved the comfy sheets so... More

My daughter and I wanted a quiet place out of the city to get away to for a few days to celebrate our thirty year mother/daughter relationship and this place was absolutely perfect! Mt. Gainor Inn: * Provided a great family atmosphere where we felt safe and welcome * Had great owners and staff that were kind and respectful *... More

We celebrated our one year anniversary by getting out of the city and staying at Mt. Gainor. The experience exceeded our expectations above and beyond! The inn owners were gracious and super nice, the breakfast they made each morning was amazing! The hospitality was wonderful and we very much enjoyed the peaceful setting. Laying out on the hammock watching the... More

I was so shocked when I arrived at this inn. The reviews I read all said how awesome this place was, beautiful, with a fantastic breakfast and on and on. I arrived to a gravel drive way, dead grass, one large tree, flowers that were drooping, and yes it was August in Texas, but we do have water! The room... More

We are truly sorry that this guest left us with anything less than a stellar experience at Mt Gainor Inn. She left us the next day without ever letting us know there was a problem. We are located in the country in Central Texas which has been in a severe drought since 2010. Apparently, the drought is expected to last... More

We arrived after dinner in Austin as the Golden Hour was upon us. We walked in to a curiously well kept home, walked through the dining room as the floors charmingly creaked beneath us and into our room. It was 1987 and I was in my grandmother's home. Her safe, warm, happy home. The TV mounted on the wall like... More

You will not stumble on this place accidentally, as it is in the country and the nearest towns are small, but thankfully the Internet makes finding this great place easy. We stayed two nights in the delightful Side Oats cottage, which was very clean and nicely done--pretty wood floors and ceiling, huge two person jetted tub, and its own porch.... More

If you've done the beaches, casinos, nightlife, and attractions, and are now ready to relax and recharge, this is the perfect oasis. Near to Austin and scenic Wimberley, the Mt Gainor Bed & Breakfast is just as peaceful as it could be. Deer and the occasional raccoon share the 40 acres of walking paths with countless songbirds and hummingbirds. Its... More
