The first thing I can say about this place is that it has good security. I say this because you need a room key to go up the ELEVATOR! I've never seen this at any other hotels. That's pretty cool! This sure prevents any crazy people going up as they please. The garage also will not let you out unless... more

The hotel is easy to find & is in a great district, but... if you walk anywhere be prepared to get harassed by nearby bums for $$. Our room was exactly like the pictures. The linens were nice. You are not allowed on your awesome balcony though, but it has great views. While sitting on the floor, there was a... more

I came to Dallas specifically to attend a James Taylor concert at Fair Park Music Hall. I booked at West End over the internet. It was almost a straight path here from my home in Wichita Falls, TX. The hotel is under construction and when I saw that, I was concerned. BUT.........the room was very nice, clean, comfy. Small but... more

The hotel it self is under renovation so when we checked in we had to go to the temporary lobby on the 9th floor to check in, the staff was great and very very helpful. We arrived early (noon) and there was no problem getting us a room. The room it self was very nice and clean and we had... more

The lobby, hallways and breakfast room were absolutely filthy. The rooms had new bed linens and carpet, but were otherwise dirty. The intake for the A/C in our first room was crusted over with mold, the second room was only slightly better. The shower curtain had mold on it, and there was no handle on the door to the bathroom.... more

This hotel was listed for the American Academy of Audiology convention in Dallas. My friends and I booked a reservation for 5 days. When we arrived they hotel lobby (located on 9th floor) was dirty. It looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. This should have clued us in that this was not going to be a... more

Here are my thoughts on this hotel: The room was smaller than I expected. If you are expecting to swim, you might want to reconsider. I thought it was still renovating, but it actually wasn't. They need to clean everything like inside the television cabinet. HOWEVER, the hotel is in walking distance of the historic district, art district, and aquarium.... more

We stayed at this hotel for the NCA cheerleading competition at the civic center 4 blocks away. The lobby picture you see on the web site is non existent at this time. If this hotel is truly being renovated to be a Crowne Plaza as noted on the banner outside the hotel, then Crowne Plaza has lowered their standards to... more

The staff really went out of their way to get our needs met. They were always cheerful and helpful. I needed a document printed and I did not bring along my printer. The person at the front desk was very busy and was attempting to multi task several requests at once. I told him that I needed to document printed.... more

The property is currently going through a massive renovation, but the staff was incredible and am eager to see how the appearance of the hotel be after renovation is complete. Rooms are very comfortable and the location is great..can walk to almost all venues - restaurants, shopping, convention center, etc. more
