Having stayed here when it was the Palomar I was expecting the same level of service. I was not disappointed. Attentive valets. Great room service and really comfortable rooms. Everything was clean and in order. I love the boutique style touches to include cookies and milk in the lobby in the evening and cold fruit water throughout the day. Loved... More

A few issues with this hotel. First, the good. Check in, check out, staff, valet, lobby, decor, wine, breakfast...all good. A noisy party above my room Sunday night, and a loud group next door to my room the same night required 4 calls to desk between 10:30 and 11:30pm. The room itself looked lovely, clean, and comfortable. However, the minibar... More

The hotel is located on a VERY busy corner/intersection and is not safe to cross as a pedestrian. So if you wanted to visit Starbucks across the way, the valet (as this is the only way to park at this property) would need to fetch your vehicle. The parking process was an inconvenience as we came and went several times... More

Dear danichn - Your feedback for your recent stay is appreciated! The location of the Hotel at the crossroads of several different areas of North Dallas and two busy roads does give some pause on crossing the road or venturing into the hectic traffic patterns. There is a pedestrian crosswalk at the corner of Mockingbird and North Central Expressway and... More

The outside could use some help - looks like a run down hospital - but the inside is gorgeous. Really well decorated and inviting. The patio connected to Knife was a super cute and cozy place to hang and have a drink with friends (granted, the drinks are $13 each). We liked our room, too - it was clean and... More

As a event specialist, I book rooms for my clients at this hotel. I have been doing so for years now. Also, this is used as my meeting spot for drinks and eats several times a week. Unfortunately I was feeling a bit ill the other day and sat in the lobby near the fire place to sweat out the... More

Dear actionmike - I am so sorry! I think the location in the Lobby adjacent to the fireplace is a great location to relax, regroup or re-energize as you prepare to head out into the world! I wish we had shown some enhanced empathy for you while you were feeling the effects of a migraine. I hope you made it... More

There were some issues with our stay at this nice, renovated hotel. When our family stays in a hotel, the bed type is one key for our reservation. So we booked here on the hotel's website for a 2 queen bed room. When checking in, we were informed we had two double beds. When I requested the 2 queens I... More

Dear ScottEP - Thanks so much for staying with us at The Highland Dallas! I am very sorry for the confusion with the bed types in your room. I did do a quick double check on the Curio booking page and the correct bed types are showing now (two double beds). While this may not have been the case when... More

This place is nothing but chic. This was a points stay weekend away from the house. Rooms were awesome, the staff was very attentive. Did not use the formal restaurant, but breakfast was very tasty. Bar staff had great personality, but in my opinion closed to early for a weekend night. There was an unnamed celebrity that was staying at... More

We were there for a quick weekend get-a-way. I loved the 60's archictecture with the modern touches. Having never been to Dallas (we're from Salt Lake City), I surprised how cold it was there. I never seemed to warm up on our floor or room. I did get plenty warm in Knife. The absolute Best place I've ever eaten. The... More

My wife Shelly and I recently stayed at The Highland. The location for us was ideal. The rooms were nice and the overall hotel was wonderful. One of the highlights of our visit was Kenneth, the Hotel Valet Manager. We were impressed with his friendly and helpful service. Kenneth not only helped us with our car needs but also with... More
