The hotel was very interesting, great grounds area, bar and staff. This is not a run of the mill hotel. So you need to be prepared for something different. The view from most of the rooms is really nice.

This charming hotel, built in the 1940s, sits on a woody hill overlooking the city, and while the view is pleasant enough during the daytime, the real drama happens when the sun goes down, and the illuminations of the downtown Dallas buildings begin to twinkle through the night. We were in room 65, which is close to the pool and... More

This is a great little boutique hotel. Staff were helpful and it a great bar and restaurant. The only reason I haven't rated it 5 stars is because of the location. There really isn't a lot to do in the area and when in a foreign city I like to walk around. This area, and Dallas in general, isn't set... More

I stayed in Room 10 in the main building. Was clean comfortable and not sterile. I would stay here again. The views touted are gone; new buildings block the view of downtown Dallas. Pool area is wonderful but was closed off for a private music event when I was there. Service in the bar was non existent. Front desk people... More

This is a refurbished and renovated classic motor lodge and oozes character. It's located on some kind of outcrop which means that there is a very short steep drive up to the reception, but that it also is somewhat isolated from the busy roads below and has a great view of the Dallas skyline. The hotel guide has an endearing... More

I spent one night - the experience was quite pleasant. The hotel was built sometime in the late 1930's or early 1940's, I'd guess, based on the architecture. (Room furnishings are modern.) The layout is a blend of an old hotel and a motor lodge. I stayed in the hotel portion; the motor lodge consisted of interconnected bungalows - much... More

My wife and I were in town for an event in downtown and we needed a nice place to stay nearby without breaking the bank. This place fit the bill perfectly. Being right across the river, it's just a short drive into downtown, but without the downtown pricing. I love the Deco architecture and the hillside location made it feel... More

Thanks for your note. Be sure and try Smoke Restaurant next time - it's got a 4-star rating and is very popular in Dallas. Also, please tell you wife that I have passed her message along to our owners about lighting and better places for women to dress! Safe travels. More

First, the staff was very kind adn the hotel was very clean. I booked on expedia.com and i'm 99.999999% sure I specified I wanted the DOWNTOWN location of this chain but here I was in ahotel across the street from a prison. I recommend the downtown location instead. For those of you who are allergic to smoke, please be aware... More

This is a quirky and fantastic hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean and also really cute. The pool is fantastic (heated, no chlorine) and the bar has great drinks and a fantastic patio with a great view of downtown. There is a really good BBQ restaurant on the property that serves great meals including breakfast. I rarely stay anywhere... More

I stay here at the belmont hotel every time I come to Dallas. This is a great place. Quiet quaint and great staff. Will not stay anywhere else. Cute boutique hotel. Different types of rooms. Great pool. Great view. Has small gym and great little bar with hotel restaurant next door. Amazing place.
