For several years in a row, my husband and I would stay a weekend at the Belmont in celebration of our wedding anniversary, even though we only lived just north of Dallas in the suburbs. It's such a fabulously unique place and area, that we loved it and it's view of Downtown Dallas. We only stopped our annual visits after... More

We have counted our blessings since turning up for our room at the Belmont since flying in to Dallas. This place is a very warm and stylish urban sanctuary.. From the start we've been so welcomed by the smiling and capable. team of staff, led by wonderful Mason, who sets such a "can I help?" spirit. This place is beautifully... More

A nice older motor inn, with a great location. Near downtown and the Bishop art district with the Resturant Smoke part of the property. The hotel bar is pretty good as well. Smaller rooms, but clean and great service from the staff.

Awesome view from the pool. The whole skyline lights up. Close to Bishops arts district with lots of boutiques, bars and restaurants. Cozy hotel bar, even though it was a bit expensive. The restaurant on site, Smoke, was ok but also over priced.. The hotel receptionist ordered us a taxi and informed us that the rate to the airport was... More

I really loved this place, though I can see how it would not be for everyone. It's a relic of travel from a long time ago - modest rooms, sparsely appointed with period sympathetic furniture and color. Quirky lobby and bar and a terrific BBQ restaurant next door. I found the service and cleanliness to be just fine. It definitely... More

I am from Dallas and just spent a night at the Belmont based in a friend's recommendation. The hotel is located in a very cool motor hotel in a part of town that your parents told you to avoid when you were young. Nowadays it appears safe but the only local amenities are the 'Smoke' restaurant and a 'Family Dollar'... More

Art Deco hotel from the 1940s which has been nicely restored, for the most part. Some rooms could need restoration. The room we stayed at seemed like it was original, from 1940. Definitely could need some care. The atmosphere and service is very nice, and the hotel is very close to downtown, yet it is quiet. There is a small... More

The Belmont is a perfect boutique hotel. Such history as a real " motor inn". But transformed into a wonderful secret away from the hustle of downtown. Best view of downtown Dallas from the pool. Unfortunately, a very ugly building just went up blocking the view from the bar. Just gives you more reason to enjoy the food and cocktails.... More

Thanks for posting on Trip Advisor. We are glad you liked the Belmont. We are sad to see the glorious view from the bar change too but many of our rooms still have great city views. Just be sure to ask for a view when you book next time. We'll pass your comments to the folks at Smoke....they will appreciate... More

I have never enjoyed visits to Texas, no matter what time of year or reason for visiting. That said, I loved Dallas last week at the Belmont hotel, motel, motor court, whatever you want to call it. We stayed one night last week on a cross country trip. We received great service and we're very comfortable. We loved the restored... More

Lobby was beautiful and the front desk clerk was very nice and personable. the cookies were Great! The room looked nice at first glance. After coming in late, I found that both the beds had all Damp bed linens, they smelled clean but damp. Called down for fresh dry linens only to receive 1 blanket and 2 sheets for 2... More
