We stayed overnight during a stopover in Dallas. The hotel was fine except that we had to endure roadworks outside the hotel that virtually lasted all night. I suppose that's not the hotels fault, but I would have appreciated some warning.

My wife had her 60th birthday recently and we were looking for the right place to stay and celebrate. We found it at The Adolphus!! I had made our reservations both at the hotel and their restaurant (the highly acclaimed French Room). I mentioned we would be celebrating her birthday and asked if it was posible to have roses and... More

The hotel was first class. The decor and surroundings were really classy. I did not get to eat in the Green Room but had a look at the restaurant and the bar area - they looked fantastic. We did eat in the diner/bar and this provided a nice contrast from the hotel. The staff were very friendly and the prices... More

Dear Guest, Your review was bang on, and we appreciate your international perspective. Thank you for mentioning our friendly staff. They love making guests feel at home on the road. We apologize that we got behind in breakfast service. It was a very busy weekend, and we were spread too thin. We are grateful for your recommendation and look forward... More

We stayed at the Adolphus with our 4 children in connecting rooms; they were the most spacious accommodations we have ever had traveling altogether! The hotel is beautiful!! It has a lot of old world charm and grace, and it is conveniently located downtown. We were able to easily walk around to shops and restaurants. We attended a family wedding... More

Dear Guest, As you write, our guest rooms are very spacious - probably the largest rooms in Texas. We try to live up to everything is big in Texas. This is particularly welcome for families who need room to spread out. I have stayed at this hotel three times. I always have had a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, plenty of outlets for computer etc. The bed was very comfy, with wonderful linens; I felt like a princess sleeping there. My stays have been business related the food at the meetings has been very... More

We planned a weekend getaway in Dallas a few months ago that included seeing the Broadway Musical "Hair" as well as some friends and family. We looked for a nice nostalgic hotel and the Adolphus seemed to fit the bill. We checked in and were told that the Deluxe King we had booked through Hotels.com was no longer available and... More

Dear Guest, We are so pleased that you had a grand time at The Adolphus recently. You bring up a good point. It is very important that travelers understand third party reservations. People often misunderstand the difference between "requests" and "guarantees." A request is not a guarantee. This is one of the downsides to booking through discounters. Hotels do their... More

The Adolphus was absolutely astounding. They were excellent hosts and served our group beyond expectations. I arrived at 6am after flying in on a red-eye and they had me in my room and getting a much needed nap in 5 minutes. The rates were phenomenal and the absolute elegance of this hotel cannot be determined by the price. I would... More

The Adolphus combines old world grace and elegance with free wi-fi and a cold a/c! The staff is amazing and we felt like they were truly glad we were there. The bath room, an era of it's own, is huge. And the shower... I want one at home! If I had a complaint, it would be that there is no... More

The Adolphus was wonderful in so many ways, but the main reason I think it stands above and beyond is that the staff is incredibly friendly. I mean they are really really nice. And all of them.
