A bit expensive, but just for one night, we splurged! I had always wanted to stay there and see the antiques. Valet parking was alittle over twenty dollars. Nice, large, quiet corner room on the 15th floor. A bit musty smelling, I'm sure due to age. We walked around & found two decent priced Italian restaurants nearby after we ate... more

Overall we like the experience at the Adolphus. It's a great hotel with lots of history, and despite the lore of being famously haunted, we saw or heard nothing unusual. The rooms do show their age. No overhead lights - all lighting is from lamps. My wife was so frustrated by the low lighting that after putting on makeup, she... more

Old hotel, but well maintained. Decent food, great perk is that it's close to everything. Walking distance from the convention center. Stop at the 7-11, CVS, or Starbucks all a block or so away for any incidentals or late night snacks. We also dined at the Iron Cactus a couple blocks away and enjoyed that immensely. more

From the moment I checked the webpage for this hotel, I knew I would enjoy it. My partner had stayed before and was well aware it would be devine, so I trusted him completely. But my expectation was exceeded, from the second I exited the cab at almost midnight on a Thursday evening through the time I left for the... more

The Adolphus gets a mixed review from me. I stayed there for 5 days recently and was initially so excited to check in, since I heard that it was THE hotel in town and had the best service. I was in Dallas with my ailing Mother (this trip was a surprise vaction for her) and I contacted the concierge, who... more

We spent a few days at this historic hotel with its southwestern charm and were not disappointed. The lobby and public areas are beautifu--deep, dark wood with a club like atmosphere. The bar was dark but friendly and the service was first rate. Its an old world type of hotel with few modern touches--this is not a boutique hotel! The... more

I stayed here earlier this week for 3 nights when I was in Dallas on business. This is a very historic hotel built in 1900's and even Queen Elizabeth has stayed here. For $133/night, it is a steal. They upgraded me to a suite (not that I needed it), the beds were super comfortable. Had breakfast at the Bistro -... more

We booked into the hotel for 2 nights as the base for some sightseeing in Dallas. The hotel is beautiful, and has a real traditional feel to it. The staff were very friendly and courteous, and we were given (as requested) a high room with good views of the Dallas skyline. The room was a great size, with a large... more
