Room only had hot water. Took several attempts just to reach front desk. They said a person was coming to fix it. No one showed. Took several more attempts to reach front desk. No one ever answered operator number. We were packing to go down to front desk when finally someone answered. Got another room. No compensation was offered. Will... More

Beautifully restored and furnished hotel. Like going back in time. Only stayed two nights but had an amazing experience. Huge rooms with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was awesome and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. A great location. Walking distance to many sight seeing locations, eg Dealey Plaza Museum, JFK Memorial. Highly recommended.

We arrived by accident in a complete panick as we couldn't find our original hotel, we got talking to Cheryl outside who looked up our hotel (it Was 6 miles away!) She invited us inside so that we could be in the air con while we figured out our best room not once did she mention staying but we loved... More

From the minute we arrived we knew we made a good choice. The valet service was great, and they treated us like royalty they greeted us with welcome backs each time we returned. The hotel is beautiful, reminded me of the Titanic. The staff smiled every time we cam in contact with them and they gave us information regarding the history... More

Dear Guest, Yes, The Adolphus is very much a part of the Edwardian era. In fact, The Adolphus and the R.M.S. Titanic were both launched in 1912. Our management and staff appreciate your kind words of praise. Thank you for staying with us. Kind regards, David More

So, let me start with saying I REALLY wanted to LOVE the Adolphus. I am Native to Dallas and booked a room for a girls weekend downtown and to attend a conference. I booked a room and specified I needed two Queen beds, when I checked in, my 7 month pregnant friend and I got to our room that had... More

Dear Guest, We are very sorry that your stay was a disappointment. Our front desk staff do their best to fulfill every request. When the hotel is sold out, it becomes an impossible task. This is why we do not guarantee bed types at the time reservations are made. Often, we do not know what will be available until the... More

I checked into this hotel at midnight. Maybe that was the problem. For a hotel that bills itself as the "Grand Dame of Dallas Hotels," unless you want really, really faded glory, check into another hotel. My first impression of the room was dark. The switch by the door did not operate the lights. I had to leave the door... More

You gotta love an old, elegant hotel where the bartenders make ominous but vague references to the ghosts trolling subterranean bakeries and gullible female guests can be enticed for an elevator ride up to the 19th floor to press their ears against the sealed-up grand ballroom's wall to try and hear the faint noodlings of a big band warming up... My wife and I came here to spend a romantic weekend because we deserved it. She wanted to stay here because she had always heard how nice it was and this is where her parents had come for their honeymoon 69 years earlier. I am almost certain we slept in the same bed as her parents. We both rolled to... More

An opulent room--large, comfortable, silent. Huge bathroom with bidet and big tub. I am a pillow snob, and my bed had four plump soft ones--best I have found at a hotel. I had no trouble getting tea, coffee, and towels delivered. I heard the hotel was haunted, but my explorations did not find any ghosts, and the front desk was... More
