I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is absolutely not a 4-star facility. Additionally, the customer service is that of a 2-star hotel. Upon arriving, there were 6-7 bell boys but none offered to assist with bag. Upon walking to counter, I was not greeted nor was there any explanation of facilities. The elevators are sketchy, outdated, and slow.... More

Our stay was very pleasant! Room no. 707 was very quiet, with a very comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was a bit limited if you prefer rolls and pastries instead of American style breakfast. We got a good deal ($142) and were very happy with the service for that price. Only problem at the moment seem to be... More

Spent the weekend on a "stay-cation" for a friends wedding. Location was great as we enjoyed being close to several nice restaurants, bars and flagship Neiman Marcus! Suite was comfortabale and well appointed. If not for the elevator issues (extremely slow due to renovation work, which I am sure will be completed soon) would have given 5 stars!

Downtown Dallas has lots of BIG (as in 1000+ rooms) hotels. Magnolia is more in the 300s (still big, but relatively personal), has no on-site restaurant, but the accommodations are terrific, at least, the suites are, and half the rooms are suites. Suites are only slightly more $ than rooms (still under $200), and are extremely spacious, with a full-sized... More

We arrived at the Magnolia at midnite because we wanted to beat a bad storm that was due early next morning. I called and talked to Eric in the kitchen and asked if he would leave some milk and cookies for us at the front desk, he was very nice and said he would. This hotel is know for offering... More

Great room, great service. Classic hotel. Read reviews ahead of time warning of potential elevator trouble. Elevators worked fine while I was there and there was no waiting. Loved the cookies and free drinks.

I stayed here recently when attending a convention for work. The hotel was beautiful. It's an old building with cool architectural detailing you just don't see much any more. The elevators were slow, but they told you that on check-in and made up for it with drink coupons. There was a big breakfast buffet included as well as happy hour... More

Great location, well appointed rooms, but this the second time the elevators have not operated. When you have the option of waiting an hour to get to your room or climb 23 flights of stairs at 10pm after a full day. The hotel knows they have an ongoing problem as they offer a complimentary happy hour daily to try to... More

The Valet parking was great. The hotel is awesome... we loved all of the neat art. The room was the greatest, we were upgraded without even asking. The hotel offered a bunch of nice perks, and really made our stay a great experience. Highly recommended!

Really excellent hotel. Loved the dark sleek modern look. I was upgraded to a huge 3 room suite with rooms and windows on 3 sides of the building, giving me a really nice view of the city. The bedroom had blackout curtains, and was dark which i always enjoy. A big living room with a TV and dark leather couches... More
