I stayed at the Sterling hotel for two nights between 16th and 17th October ’09. It is situated next to a freeway and about 20 mins from downtown Texas. The hotel was pretty big with 8 or 9 floors and looked ok. The guys at reception were fine and helped with anything I needed. Rooms were kinda ok but I... more

I wasn't even sure he worked there. When we got off the elevator the hall ways smelled like sewage...(.Each floor). We went into our first room...Yes the first room...My hubby... more

Wow- where do I start? I took my family to the Sterling Hotel to attend a wedding of a long time friend. When we arrived we were told we got a twenty dollar discount because the Hotel was owned by the groom’s sister in-law's family. The discount really amounted to ten dollars because on their website the room could be... more

All right - there is a wireless network somewhere in the hotel, but four of us with laptops could not get a reliable connection anywhere. Apparently, so many of the Sterling's customers have been using the Super8's network that they are now password protecting it. News for the management: Texas Stadium is HISTORY! You can't rely on drunk sports fans... more

I reviewed this hotel back in December 2008. At that time, we were given a room in the unremodeled section of the hotel as we didn't know they had nicer rooms. After reading tripadvisor.com, I realized they had newer rooms. This time, we specifically asked for a remodeled room and it was better. I will have to say that the... more

Was a little worried from previous reviews but decided to stay anyways. Was a good hotel at a good price. Not a 4/5 Star hotel but a 2 star for sure. Staff was very helpful and nice. Room was OK! Will stay again when back in Dallas! more

* Though the hotel advertised wireless AND wired internet available in rooms, unless you had a direct view of the Super 8 down the street AND got the password from the Sterling Hotel manager or owner, you were screwed. Add to that the wireless that you could get in the lobby was pretty worthless and had a cap on number... more
