We made a bad decision to stay at a cheap hotel. The rooms were barely clean, the linen was worn and maybe clean and the carpet was not. The saying you get what you pay for is certainly true in this case. The motel was also noisy and when we got back from dinner there were four police cars in... More

Don't really know what all the complaints are all about, been travelling across America and this was the cheapest motel in Dalhart. Rooms are clean and you get a comfy bed and a shower. What more do you want $45 a night? Other people should stop complaining or pay probably triple the price at Laquinta Inn up the road!

We drove up with no prior research. The sign said "senior rates". Price reflected that it was a very basic hotel. Room was better than expected. It was clean. There was a refrigerator and microwave, but no clock, blow drier, coffee pot or even morning coffee in the office. Check the room, if you wish. We'd stay again.

Review the images I uploaded very dirty and poor housekeeping dead bugs on shelving, non operating smoke detectors, mold in shower curtains, lack of building maintenance, hair on walls, paint and caulk chipped and non repaired.

This place was perfect for a cheap sleep and shower while driving through. It was not new (cinder block walls, leaky faucet) and could have used another vacuuming, but the linens were clean, there was hot water and air conditioning. There wasn't an alarm clock or blow drier, but there was a fridge and soap. Traffic noise was present. The... More

The other review was obviously written by one of the owners. Grossest room I have ever been in. Only good thing I can say is they were nice enough to refund my mY money so I could go somewhere else. I am writing this from the Super 8 few blocks away and I can still smell the stench of the... More

Traveling back from Colorado to Dallas, we decided to stop for the night in Dalhart. We didn't want to spend a bunch of money on a hotel with amenities that we'd never use, so we followed the signs to this $39.99 per night motel. It was old, and there were definitely details that needed attention. (parking lot needs swept badly... More
