I like to stay at the Hampton Inn for the security of inside doors. This facility is like any La Quinta you'll ever stay in.....don't recommend this one. more

In all honesty, I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews of this property. I stayed here overnight with a tour group in October 2006 and had a great experience. At the time it seemed like they had just finished a renovation. Coming from Minnesota, I was surprised to find exterior corridors, but I certainly didn't feel unsafe. The room,... more

If you need to stay in the area, stay at a different hotel. Unwelcome guests (flys, spiders....) combined with the fact that this is a motel (not a hotel) and NO redeeming qualities are to be found. For example, they advertise a hot tub, but it was roped off and out of service. In all fairness, I do have to... more

I didn't know about the Hampton Inn's satisfaction or money back guaranteed until i read this site - i would have definitely asked for my money back and left had i known. My family and I had two adjoining rooms for two nights recently. I did not realize the rooms opened to the parking lot - an immediate tip-off that... more

I was there for 4 days on business, in May 08., and impressed with the friendly staff-who spoke to us on first name basis each day. Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable. Wine/beer provided during happy hour in lobby. Nice touch!. Only problem was, - could not get phone messages; reported it to lady on night shift with no luck;... more

I stayed here out of loyalty to the Hilton brand. The building is obviously an old Holiday Inn - the typical motel you would find on the highway with exterior room entrances and room air conditioners. Although they have completely remodeled and tried to upgrade the rooms with microwaves and mini fridges, it can't hide it's heritage and its 12... more

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago -- in fact, I remember we watched the news about the big tsunami while in this hotel. Then, it was "fine". Not anymore. Ditto the reviewer from irving about the chainsmokers -- there were some obnoxious types hanging around outside, and it smelled strongly of smoke. Inside, the AC was running,... more

We paid $99 + tax (on par with other choices in area) for a 1 nt pit stop on the way to the Gulf coast. The hotel is older (exterior extrances to the rooms) but clean and well-maintained (with some exceptions). Location is on west side of I-45 South. Highway noise is pronounced and constant but surprisingly didn't keep us... more
